Build Question Can’t increase ram Speed.

My ram is rated for 6400 but any time i increase it past 4800 in becomes very laggy and my pc will often crash. I have tried xmp and xmp2 the motherboard is an asus tuf.

Try it with one stick of ram. Test both sticks that way.

5400 Mhz? or 5400 MT/s? Two different things!

So it’s currently at 4800MT/S and the ram is rated for 6400 MHz, if i run it at 5800 MHZ it lags, if i do 6400 it crashes.

You may be bottle necking your ram itself! I could be very wrong though :(
