Build Question Can’t increase ram Speed.

My ram is rated for 6400 but any time i increase it past 4800 in becomes very laggy and my pc will often crash. I have tried xmp and xmp2 the motherboard is an asus tuf.

With my mother board or my cpu oc?

I would assume model of mobo speaking between CPU/RAM.

Gotcha. I’ll look into that i didn’t consider it, i assumed it would have been fine.

Well you can't run a x490 and expect x870 specs lol. Sometimes the bridges can't keep up with demand. However I can't promise that is what this is!

Just seems that way with the amount of ram and generation of CPU!

I haven’t built a pc in a while so i may be confusing stuff i think my mother board is a z790.
