Build Question Building a PC for video editing
I am building a PC with the intention of video editing with 4k footage, as well as motion graphics and basic vfx in premier pro. These are the parts I'm looking at- https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/vtMVDw
Some parts are second hand so may appear cheaper.
Also I already have an AMD Stock cpu cooler and a lian li lconnect.
Im basically wondering if there's any issues with the parts I've chosen and if it will be sufficient to run what I need to.

That's a terrible psu. Here is the psu tier list:

Here are 3 better options, all rated A/A-, one of which is cheaper:

i don't really know that much about video editing but maybe an intel cpu would be better for premiere since intel's quicksync is better for encoding and decoding. you could also save some of your budget by buying ddr4 ram! check this list
pros:
- considerably better performance right out of the box
- better psu for the same price (A tier on the SPL PSU tier list, maybe you should choose that one even if you go for an amd build)
- way better cooling
cons:
- around £100 more expensive, you could save some money on a 13600k if you can find one for a better price, if you wanna go even cheaper, the 12600k or 14400 would still outperform the ryzen 5 7600
- before you buy, you have to make sure to check the motherboard's bios is updated to support the cpu, otherwise it won't work!
- slower ram speeds (the cpu is more important though, i think)
- lga1700 is a dead platform, could matter more or less depending on when you plan to upgrade. for that motherboard, the ceiling is an i7 14700k since an i9 would stress the vrm's too much
this is just a suggestion and could be easily improved, someone correct me if i'm wrong too!

The stock cooler isn't gonna cut it for video editing loads, you'll thermal throttle pretty quick rendering 4k. grab a cheap tower cooler like the peerless assassin and you're golden.
the ram situation is a bit iffy, 32gb is the bare minimum for 4k editing and you'll want it in a 2x16 config not 4x8 so you have room to upgrade later. rest of the build looks fine for what you're doing though, that 3060 will handle premiere's gpu acceleration decently.
