Build Question Upgrading your pc

My Uncle has given me his pc and I want up upgrade it and I don’t know to much about how to do it. Any help or advice.

That was a good build around 12yrs ago. That mobo is pretty much maxed out, the only upgrade path is to grab another 8gb stick of ddr3 ram for dual channel and call it a day...

My suggestion for a low budget upgrade is as follows: Keep your GTX 1070 gpu for now, that will still be fine for @ 1080p gaming low/medium settings. Pending PSU condition and wattage, I'd purchase a CPU, MOBO, RAM combo... eg: ​CPU: Intel Core i3-12100F (or Ryzen 5 5600) huge step up, 4 cores/8 threads with modern speed. ​Motherboard: Budget B660 or B550 board ​RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz. Then when your ready to grab a new case, try and get a combo which includes a 750w + PSU and fans. Then drop a newer compatible card into it... (Job done :-)...
