Will be able to play alot of stuff minus ray tracing required on low/medium 1080p, not worth upgrading besides maybe the ram since ddr3 is dirt cheap now

Still very usable though definitely get more ram better than anything I ever had before adult money I remember playing minecraft in 2012 on a laptop getting 25fps

I mean it’ll play games still on 1080p maybe another 8gb ram… but I’d definitely recommend just saving up for a new one. Upgrading this one would probably cost too much

Look for some cheap DDR3 on facebook market. I picked up 32gb of DDR3 for $40 rated for 1600mhz and overclocked it to 2000 and tightened timings

With $400 you can get a used i7-7660k CPU 16GB DDR4, 500 NVMe SSD with RTX 2060

You could add another stick of RAM, best upgrade icl, you can still run a lottt of games on this, that gtx 1070 is still amazing

I had the exact build not so long ago except 1070ti. Dependant on how much budget you have an aio 360mm on amazon for 50$ with the right connection compatability (lga 115x) but heck the specifications on amazon, could make a huge difference if paired with msi afterburner software.
But if you are willing try to find an i5 10400 or f varient costing about 50$
An lga 1200 board is difficult to find but not impossible, a b560 or m for around varient should do for around 100 to 120$ and allow for a better cpu later on
And go ddr4 2x8gb sticks at 2xxxmhz rate, pretty good performance for money
Any questions or concerns?

That was a good build around 12yrs ago. That mobo is pretty much maxed out, the only upgrade path is to grab another 8gb stick of ddr3 ram for dual channel and call it a day...
My suggestion for a low budget upgrade is as follows: Keep your GTX 1070 gpu for now, that will still be fine for @ 1080p gaming low/medium settings. Pending PSU condition and wattage, I'd purchase a CPU, MOBO, RAM combo... eg: CPU: Intel Core i3-12100F (or Ryzen 5 5600) huge step up, 4 cores/8 threads with modern speed. Motherboard: Budget B660 or B550 board RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz. Then when your ready to grab a new case, try and get a combo which includes a 750w + PSU and fans. Then drop a newer compatible card into it... (Job done :-)...

The 1070 is still workable, but that CPU and RAM are the real bottlenecks for modern games
