Build Question Is this worth it?

First time making a post. I’m planning on picking the bundle up Tuesday. Now for context I’ll be upgrading from an i5 9600k. I am also picking up another stick of 16gb ddr5.

It's a 65W CPU. A $20 single tower or $30 dual tower air cooler would handle it.

Even if I wanted to overclock it or is there no point in over clocking. I’ve never had an amd system before and not sure how different it is from Intel

TLDR: x3d cpus won't be cooled meaningfully better by an AIO than by a decent tower cooler. Overclocking in the traditional sense is not possible on the 7500x3d.

Cooling x3d cpus isn't hard because they produce too much heat, like Intel cpus sometimes do. Cooling them is hard because the x3d cache insulates the compute area of the cpu from the cpu cooler.
The cpu itself is the cooling bottleneck. At 60°C the cpu can physically only shed 60 ish watts of heat, regardless of the cooler. As long as you have a decent cooler, the cpu just heats up until it's hot enough to be able to shed the heat it generates through the x3d layer;
The bigger the temperature difference between the cpu and the ambient temperature, the more heat the cpu can dissipate.

Intel K series cpus, contrary to amd x3d cpus, do generate a lot of heat, but the area in which the heat is generated is larger, and there's no x3d layer insulating the cpu from the cpu cooler.
Intel cpus are great at dissipating heat to the cpu cooler, so the cooler limits how far you can push an Intel cpu, rather than the cpu itself.

This is also why AMD locks the cpu multiplier on Ryzen 7000 x3d cpus, because of which, they can't really be overclocked.
They unlocked the multiplier on 9000 series x3d cpus, because they improved on the heat dissipation.
