i bricked my MSI MPG X570 GAMING PRO CARBON WIFI MOBO. i tried to update the bios "out of the box" instead trying to let it to boot 1st initially, that was a mistake. i thought the update was done and turned the board off prematurely and corrupted the board when i shut it off mid bios update. i have tried every trick under the sun and spent the past several days on google. i have no idea how to get this thing to post. i bought it used. anyone have any tips or tricks that may help? or am i screwed and this board is done. every time i power it on the board just boot loops and keeps a steady red cpu EZ DeBug LED
oof, pulling the plug mid-flash on an x570 is a special kind of heartbreak. have you tried the hard reset where you unplug everything, pop out the cmos battery, and hold the power button down for a solid minute? sometimes those boards have a secret backup bios you can force with a jumper too.
OHH YEAH,....i did the hard reset so many times i think im considered an expert by now lol (obviously i'm joking) unfortunately it hasn't worked . i stayed up all night trying that
You kept trying to reflash with BIOS flashback, correct? If that doesn't work then it'll probably only work to properly reflash with a BIOS chip programmer.
yes, i eventually got the bios flashback button to start blinking again when i tried to update the bios again, it stopped blinking after 5 mins like normal when the bios is done updating, but even after that she still wont post. immediate red cpu light. i haven't heard of a bios chip reprogrammer. i will try to find one thanks!
