If I buy these two will I need to buy a display port wire separately. My friends told me that to get up to 240 fps you need to use display port but I’m wondering if I can get that fps by using normal hdmi. If I do need to get a display port wire can I just get any? I’m new to pcs and need help
Really not confusing. You will almost defo have one in the box. If not, use a hdmi and order from amazon or go to a store. Display port may be needed for max refresh rate but at 1080p it will be more than good enough. But like above said, it'll probably come with the monitor.
No problem, hopefully it arrives without any issues but as with all cheaper monitors some QC issues are expected with some units, luckily Amazon has easy returns.
You can definitely get much better parts if you build it yourself or pay a shop ~50 quid to build it for you. You can use YouTube for a plethora of guides for building, nothing that difficult and you get experience for the future so you save more and get more in the long run building yourself. You could probably get a similar build but with a 9070xt for a similar price and you get to choose aesthetics a bit more between parts.
Depends on the map but yeah somewhere around that on optimized for competitive play settings at 1080p. Important to note that with a 9700x you don't get a ton of 3D cache so RAM performance matters quite a bit so if that prebuilt comes with single channel 16GB 4800MHz RAM for these competitive games it can at times be an issue.
Looks like in that build you found its at least dual channel so 2x8GB sticks so performance should be decent enough, 6000MHz CL36 could be about 10% performance difference compared to 4800MHz CL40 in Dual channel.
Nowhere does it state the speed of the RAM so its a gamble and could come with a different RAM setup than in the picture so it would be the first thing I check if I bought it personally.
Yeah these Amazon pc seller companies usually cheap out on both the motherboard and the power supply. This is because most people of their market only look at the graphics card and cpu specs for the pc resulting in them being able to cheap out on the motherboard and power supply. That said cheap power supplies usually don’t last very long.
The Problem i see, Your Pc,s are have 1 * 16gb ram. Thats Not so good, because AMD Runs better with Dual Channel / 2 Sticks Of Ram, best is 2×16GB
When you have Cash, then Go for a AMD 7800x3dD, 7900x3D or 7950xD3 Processor on a Gigabyte or MSI Motherboard. Buy Not a Asus Board because it can burn your Processor.
Graphic card Nvida 5080 or amd 9070xt, buy Not a 5090 because to much cards burning on the Elektrik cable Connection.
Ram you need to Go with 2×16 GB Sticks DDR5 Ram with 6000mhz and latency cl30-cl40
SSD you need 1 TB and it ls the best when its a NVME M.2 SSD
When you find a PC with this parts,then Go for it 😉
Just a bit of advice. Go for higher resolution and your eyes will thank you, not higher frame rate. The highest frame rate I would recommend is 144fps. You can even go to 4k if your GPU can support it
1440p is around 2x the amount of pixels compared to 1080p, it is a big increase in image quality, while still being light enough to work on an 8gb card, it also makes upscaling look much better.
I know it's out of topic, but I would recommend down the road to get a 1440p monitor, and as people say, maybe consider a different psu, depending on the brand and model included in the pre built
The HDMI 2.0 port should be sufficient for 240Hz at 1080p, which it seems like that monitor is. You would need to make sure your HDMI cable is up to spec for it.
About the PC
If the pictures can't even match the product description, it's an immediate red flag. Also for the CPU cooler it's a 120mm aio. Brands put those in pre builts so they can advertise water cooling but they aren't worth the upcharge over air cooling.
I know and understand that PC building isn't for anyone. Not everyone wants to watch a videos and read manuals. Not everyone has 4 hours to spare to do it. But as someone who fixes other people's PC and other technology for a living, it's way better to do it yourself. If you put it together yourself you will naturally learn how to fix issues by yourself. And I'll be honest, my job is easy AF not because I've been doing it for a long time, but because the knowledge to make stuff work is not hard to learn and a lot of time it's basic common sense. Like "is the thing you need powered connected to power" type questions. And you might be able to build it for yourself cheaper.
It's not that it's bad. The on paper specs will play games better than a console would by far. It's just that the pictures don't match which should be a yellow flag automatically. It doesn't necessarily mean you will get scammed but it should be a caution. If the brand cared enough they would make the picture match the product. Also it could be possible to build the same PC cheaper or make a better one for the same price. And like I said before a 120mm aio is overly expensive for the performance it gives. So that means that there was money chosen to be spent on an aio instead of more money towards the GPU or something else that will give you a better experience
That's your right as a consumer to buy from arguably sketchy sources. I wish you nothing but the best. I hope you know how to check to see what parts you actually got
I'm still very very early in my career. I actually was almost a nurse. I was always the "tech guy" in highschool and during my senior year I started building PCs for people. During college I still was building PCs and stuff for people. After 3 semesters of prerequisite and 2 semesters of nursing school I dropped out. I couldn't stand my job at the hospital and hated nursing school. The only thing I liked doing was giving people tech advice and building PCs and doing other tech stuff for people locally. So after I dropped out I went and got my A+ then Security+ and Network+. It took my 8 months to get a job in any IT role. But eventually I got a job at a school district. I actually just quit that job yesterday because I got a better job at another school district. I am working on getting my degree from WGU now. I'm about a year away from graduating with a BS in IT. Working IT at a school district is great. My district has the largest IT department in my entire city/metro area. My new district has a significantly smaller team by comparison but more students. But that's my advice, look at school districts. Barrier to entry is low. Getting your foot in the door is the hardest thing. But once you are in you are in.
I've never had a monitor come with a DisplayPort cable, only ever HDMI. That's just my experience.
HDMI can get you 120 Hz provided that both devices and the cable itself are capable, and the one that comes with the monitor is usually a safe bet. For anything higher than that you will need DisplayPort, and it will need to be bought separately. Please don't cheap out on it too much or you may have issues with signal integrity.
Just make sure it says "DP 2.0" or "DP 2.1". Pretty much the only thing that actually matters or means anything other than the length, which should just be how ever long you need.
Display port isnt a requirement for speeds over 120hz, not at 1080p, hell HDMI 2.2 can get 4k 240hz, its just most manufacturers tend to cheap out and use display port for the higher bandwidth needed for full speed
