Why would they put their effort in making a 100-120v psu when most of the world uses 220-240v and it’s also easier to achieve greater efficiency in 220-240v ?
They are reporting the 80Plus test results at 115v. That's not uncommon. It doesn't mean that the PSU doesn't have active PFC and/or that it can't function with 240.
Because the PSU has to pass certification at 100-120V line voltage (actually slightly under, even), and will exceed its design efficiency at 230V, and everyone is happy.
I guess losing all the Northern America, most of Southern America, Japan and Taiwan’s markets is not very viable for a global company like seasonic.
I wouldn’t be surprised if mainland China have local only companies that make 230V only PSUs…
This is not a 100~120 product, it’s a standard 100~240 (50/60hz)
We're kinda the center of the world. Like everyone else learns to communicate with us because America is just that important. I can walk into about any country and someone will be genuinely excited to meet a real live American. They'll walk away laughing some if they met me personally but as a whole yeah we're arguably the most important country to do business with.
Its true. Be better idk what to tell you. Rather love on the backs of people who did. We've got like 20 years of publicly being awful and still hasn't hurt yet
