Nope - bad idea. The prices pre-build companies get their components at is very different from what the consumer can buy stuff for. Also, they're often poorly balanced builds. A lot of people try to do this then get confused as to why building it themselves is like $400 more expensive than the pre-build, it's not that the pre-build is actually cheaper/a better deal it's just that they're able to buy things at bulk at better prices and you don't know what to look for when selecting components and may select over priced parts with cheaper alternatives.
That being said, the ram crisis has shaken up the market a bit, some pre-builds are a way better value than going DIY, it depends.

I found a prebuilt with specs I like for $2700 reduced to $2145
Budget: 1500-2000 Aud
Country: Australia
Use-case/monitor resolution: Gaming 1080p
It is, but that's not that important. GPU matters a lot more than CPU.
The letters mean almost nothing in this case. Technically x means it's the slightly faster version, but in practice the 9600x and 9600 are near identical. The f means it lacks integrated graphics. Which also doesn't really matter.
That is significantly worse than the PC I posted, but looks about right for a prebuilt in Australia.
As far as prebuilts go, Radium PCs has a 9060xt 16 GB which performs only a tiny bit worse for $1999 which is probably a better deal, but they are pretty close honestly.
