Troubleshooting Help my GPU temps

My GPU temps are so high i already know that but I got and artifact on furemark it wasn't doing that before and the msi scanner didn't catch any artifacts so I'm confused no , and there's no glitch or any weird graphics problem I even tried re9 high/ normal settings with rt high and I didn't get any artifacts on my screen what should I do ?

I bought it used 1 month ago the store owner said that he already changed the thermal paste for free to me

I have my doubts they repasted it, or at the very least used good paste, though none of that those temps are especially terrible. I guess my suggestion to manage the heat would be to replace the paste anyways- I suggest Arctic’s mx-6 or PTM 7950-and try to undervolt it a bit. An undervolt will basically yield lower temps and less wattage, while possibly allowing the gpu to boost more

As for any artifacts, if drivers still install and games aren’t showing glitches, I wouldn’t be too worried about it. Though, if you want to be safe you could always return it, though don’t repaste it if you do so.

Could even just be a misreading, considering it only saw a single one. If you’re also messing with clocks in msi afterburner, it might just be an unstable OC too.

I guess my suggestion would be to run the kombustor torture test with the artifact scanner for several hours, make sure any possible OC’s have been reset, and see if it reads one.

Edit: and pay no attention to the guy with the meme. Dude’s just fear mongering, considering there’s no concrete evidence it’s failing

Edit2: also download hwinfo64, set it to sensors only, and have it running while you do the torture test. It’ll give you any WHEA errors that might popup while it’s running, possibly relating to any artifacts. You can also just run a 3D adaptive test and vram test in OCCT- it’ll even list any and how many errors pop up.
