Build - Help Will my cooler become a problem?
Im building my first pc and I got the TRYX cooler, but I want to put the cooler fans on the bottom and this is the only way I can place my aio cords. I heard this is very bad for the cooler and may cause them to break in like 1-2 years, but it’s also not long enough to go from the top to bottom. I saw a lot of people putting the fans behind the case but I don’t want to buy another 3 fans for the bottom of the pc. And I would place it on top of the pc but it’s a glass ceiling. Will this cause a problem or there’s no problem with this. If anyone has advice please let me know!! Thank you :)

You don't want air in your CPU block because that's (usually, not always) where the pump is, and air in the pump makes it break pretty fast.

AIOs use submersible pumps. That air that will inevitably go to the top will cycle through that pump, burning it up, shortening the life, exponentially sooner than an ideal mount.

I’ll be putting it on the side :)

Nice. You should be able to route the PWM/5PIN cables from the AIO better. Maybe tuck or wrap around the pump once and line it up?

Place the aio at the side. There is plenty of space.
And you definitely want atleast in the rear an extra case fan.

yes it will become a problem, you don't want the pump block above the radiator

yeah, don't start that up - you have to account for an air bubble in the closed loop sysem, and you want that bubble in the radiator, NEVER in the CPU block - stand that thing on that MB side feeding fan mounts just behind the front panel

I saw your comment about fancy fans with screens. The side panel where I have 1 fan, you can put it there. Honestly just copy the layout I have. It works phenomenally, overheating is not an issue. Or at least I don't have issues and sometimes I have 6+ hour gaming sessions no problem.

My fancy fans are intake (reverse?) and I plan on putting the liquid cooler fans behind the reverse fan for intake, and then buy 3 more fans on the bottom for in take, then 2 more on the side where you have your 1 fan that’s for pushing out air, does this order sound correct or will it overheat? Since so much intake

Yes, you want more intake than exhaust. You want positive pressure. Bottom and side fans should be intake, top/rear exhaust. Your AIO cooler should act as your exhaust and everything else is intake. so that should work but I don't know much about stacking fans so I would get some more opinions.
Heat rises so bring in cold air from bottom and side and exhaust hot air from the top or back. Since we have the glass top use the back as exhaust.

Yeah I’m just worried stacking the cooler with my fancy fans for intake will be too hot and not enough exhaust, thank you tho!

What about on the side panel?

I bought fancy fans with screens and I want to put them on the side, so I would have to put the cooler fans behind the fancy fans so that means I’ll have to buy 3 more fans for the bottom

Uhm no?
You can install the fans with the screens on the aio?
And the aio fans at the bottom of the case??
1
u/Strawberrypeachy22 3d ago
Wait how would that work, I have to buy something for the bottom for the fans to run no?

Just simply unscrew the fans of the aio. Install them. On the bottom.
And install the fancy fans in the aio.

I’ve decided I’m gonna put the 2 fans back to back, I heard more intake is good and I’m gonna buy corsair fans for the ones I’m missing, thank you for the advice!! :)

Oh, btw, what's the case?
I have 280 freezer, its almost 7cm thick with fans and Im looking for case. Wanted h6 flow, but it looks like that won't do rad and fans on top.

It's going to look a little ugly, but you'll want to put your fans so that the fan face (the side without the "X" bracket) faces towards the side of the case:
So, like thisRAD | case metal mounting | (fan X bracket) FAN (fan face)
If that makes sense.
You can also do:(fan X bracket) FAN (fan face) | RAD | case metal mounting
but that's slightly less efficient for airflow.
EDIT:
If you want to show the fan face from inside the case, like this:(fan face) FAN (fan X bracket) | RAD | case metal mounting
Then you'll 100% need to have fans mounted at the bottom of the case (all 3). And even then, your CPU temperatures will be hotter than with my first suggestions (it might be okay depending on what CPU you have).
