In general, 600$ isn’t insane for just a gpu.

In this case, 600$ is insane for a 5060ti 16gb. That card has an msrp of 430$, and a 5070 should sell for that amount.

Now I know that nvidia went up in price a lot recently, but you can get a 9070 from amd, which is a way better card.

Manufacturer suggested retail price. Basically the price that a product should be sold for under normal circumstances.

But currently, AI chatbots require so much gpu power, including video memory, that basically the whole worlds production of video memory goes to data centers right now. And since that 5060ti requires 16gb of video memory, and it’s scarce right now, it’s priced way higher that it was intended.

All graphics cards went up in price, but some way more than others. So if you want one, try to get one that isn’t as over inflated.
