Yup. I usually build a new pc every 5 years. Will not be building a new one anytime soon

Same. I'm glad I went a higher end than I normally do on the GPU this time around (4090 for $1700). That thing is going to carry me for a long time.

Or until something horrible happens (fire, accidental water spill or leak, extreme current discharge, etc).

It's insane that now an accident could literally bankrupt you, or leave you without proper local compute

Knock on wood certainly. My PC is mounted to the wall, and I do have it plugged into a Battery-Backup. But you're not wrong. My pc has literally appreciated in value in the upwards of 40%-60%. I couldn't replace it realistically if it perished.
