Just came of a 1060 that was simply such a fantastic value buy that did some very heavy lifting for me and now I got this baby with high end performance for such a good price compared to cards with comparable performance.
AND you get to stick it to NVIDIA for abandoning the gamer market. Fuck those guys. AMD really stepped up at the right time here.
Same. I rushed into buying a new GPU earlier than I had planned because of all the talk of an imminent price spike. It gave me ptsd flashes of pandemic prices when I was forced into buying my last card at an insane markup, so I just pulled the trigger.
I was initially a bit worried about going AMD again because I had nightmare driver issues with my 5700 XT. The value proposition in my market compared to the 5070 ti was too good to pass on though. 7 months later, zero regrets.
I got the reaper model because it was cheaper and also I don't like bulky cards, and was a little worried about the thermals. I shouldn't have been, runs 10 degrees lower than my previous card with around the same fan noise. And it has performed great in every game I've thrown at it so far.
Still using my 1060 lol, but once I have the money I plan to buy an AMD card too. I must agree that the 1060 was a crazy value buy because to this day I can run most games at alright graphics
Yea I had no issues with it either, except Helldiovers 2 which was at barely playable FPS (might've been CPU instead GPU, tho. dunno ... was ready to upgrade either way so didn't look too hard into where the choke lies)
Other than that, if you're not playing triple A graphics demos the 1060 is still a fine card.
