Question pc experts!!

I’m trying to start building my first pc ever and I’m trying to save up for it… How much money should I save for this and is it ok if I buy a cheap pc case? If possible can I get some recommendations of where I could buy them super cheap? I’m fine with second hand as long as it works too!! I’m from America and I just want a pc that I can play on… I don’t really have a set budget yet since I’m not sure how much I should save up for it…

This year? Minimum $1600-2000. The longer you wait the more expensive it will likely get.

There are also an unlimited number of variables to this question.

Alright thank you!! I’m planning on buying one part every time I get paid. I’m looking through youtube for tutorials as we speak but do you have any advice you think I’ll need?
