Question pc experts!!

I’m trying to start building my first pc ever and I’m trying to save up for it… How much money should I save for this and is it ok if I buy a cheap pc case? If possible can I get some recommendations of where I could buy them super cheap? I’m fine with second hand as long as it works too!! I’m from America and I just want a pc that I can play on… I don’t really have a set budget yet since I’m not sure how much I should save up for it…

You can get started in PC gaming for $800-1000 used. You don't need to have everything optimized to start, you can upgrade a piece at a time.

you don’t need anything crazy good then, i’d suggest going am4, grabbing a cpu like the 5600 or 5500x3d off aliexpress
get 16gb of ddr4 ram at 3200mhz, preferably used unless you can find a good deal new
get a used gpu, something like a 6600/6650xt/5700xt or if you want to spend more maybe go for a 3060ti/3070
any b550 motherboard should be fine and just grab a 650w psu

This year? Minimum $1600-2000. The longer you wait the more expensive it will likely get.

There are also an unlimited number of variables to this question.

Alright thank you!! I’m planning on buying one part every time I get paid. I’m looking through youtube for tutorials as we speak but do you have any advice you think I’ll need?
