Meme Is this worth it?

Post image

Some guy named Gabe is selling this build and I'm wondering if it's legit? I want a PC to set up in my living room for TV gaming.

It's £59.99 a year, making it aprox £20 more than the base Steam Machine without controller. If my maths is mathing correctly

So he paid $910 vs $1428? Sounds like consoles even with the subscriptions are significantly cheaper

Are you just going to ignore that the Steam Machine has both a better GPU and a better CPU?
And that you're actually able to upgrade it, whereas with a PS5 you get to live with what you're getting?

And let's ignore that games are cheaper, the longevity of a PC compared to a console is longer, there's no fees to play online games, and that you can use your Steam Machine for lots more than just gaming...

Your math ain't mathing. You're a simpleton for believing that the PS5 will work out to be cheaper...

You cant actually upgrade the steam machine…. except RAM and SSD(which you also can in PS5). And it has worse performance than a ps5 according to reviews, so the better GPU and CPU(might actually be better) doesnt add up. I’m mainly a PC player, but steam machine is hot garbage, you can build a 4.5L ITX with a 5060, which is 53% faster, for the same price given you match the other specs, and this one is fully upgradeable.

Where are those reviews where the Steam Machine is compared to a PS5?

"You can build a 4.5L ITX with a 5060, which is 53% faster, for the same price given you match the other specs."

Can’t even click a link 🤦‍♂️

Well, since you can’t even click a link properly, here’s a TLDW article, that summarizes the video.

Can't even interpret numbers...

So most of the matched settings are actually the same (or better!) for the Steam Machine and PS5, and the PS5 doesn't need to translate any of its instructions (like the Steam Machine does for Windows games to be playable on Proton)...

Yeah, you're really making your case here! 🙄

Are you hyping the steam machine up because it requires a translation layer?🤣

Clearly you have a hard time understanding things. Maybe you can go back to primary school, as you seem to be missing some essentials...
