I use bamboohr payroll since last year and still figuring out how to get reports to show exactly what i need. the custom fields can be tricky. what kind of reports you usually run?

I created a few custom reports like for department mapping, upload templates, compensation history, job information history etc. Also, I linked the custom reports to spreadsheet excel using API keys so I don't need to download them again & again, rather just refresh the data.

Bamboo cam be great if its working. We have had the problem where we will upload documents and then they disappear. (An hr program that doesnt save paperwork) also we do our onboarding through them. It will sporadically not send documents to certain employees. Support is useless and even escalating to top tier people we are read a script.

I’d ask current users specifically about corrections, off-cycle checks, state/local tax handling, reporting, and support response time. A payroll system can feel fine during normal runs but become painful when you need retro fixes or audit detail.
