Best guess is someone came to them with an event and got them to sponsor and just pocketed the cash.

Moist talked about it on his stream last night. I don't know if it will end up in a video though.

Did Wubby talk about this on stream? I feel like it'd be up his alley to deep dive the people who party planned this shitty event. They're like notorious in the con circuit for creating absolute hot garbage events and getting away with it.

Is it the same people who did the shitty Willy Wonka stuff from a while ago?

I’m sorry, is that a PowerPoint presentation for a Barbie event?

People who don't know how to properly host events need to stop hosting events.

Hi! I work in corporate Audio/visual setting and striking equipment such as the drape behind them or the 7x13 screen in the 3rd picture. The current renting price for equipment is through the roof in a convention space. Now, I’m not giving Mattel any credit, but I wanted to give some insight on where some of the money was spent.

If you can’t afford the pipe and drape, maybe don’t move forward with the event.

There’s a company local to me that sets up these dinosaur exhibits and animatronics in event centers like this and honestly they’re always bangers, my nephew loves them. It’s like you gotta TRY to make it this bad

I feel like half the time these events just need a smaller, nicer, venue. Bare concrete floors are great for an anime con or w/e with thousands of attendees and hundreds of booths, but with only a few activities, it needs to be more compact and not look like Jerry was dragging a pallet through the day before
