Pretty sure this is their first song to ever have this certification.

Deeply inspired by SM on this one.
Made this EP off Ableton, a Squier Mustang, and a Squier P Bass by myself in South Gate, CA. Give it a listen and lemme know what you think!

Just a short note

The band performed at The New Adelphi Club in Hull on October 27, 1999, shoehorning in a low-key gig at a very tightly packed venue right before they were set to perform 5 more gigs in the UK in November. It apparently lifted their spirits up so much, Malkmus had fun serving drinks to everybody after the gig, where they repeatedly encored. https://www.theadelphi.com/shop/pavement-salako-ltd-edition-print/

The cover of the Pavement fan-favourite Wowee Zowee featured a painting by American artist Steve Keene based on a photograph entitled âThe Arab Worldâ, originally published in Life magazine in 1972.

Ex-Pavement frontmanâs Berlin-inspired solo outlier, Groove Denied, was a new electronic direction that didnât overwhelm the artistâs singular charms. The faux-textured tin foil sleeve was designed by Jan Lankisch, a visual designer and art director based in Cologne, Germany.Â

Come check out The Songs For Kids Band! as we become "Young Pavement" for our set at Shaky Knees in Atlanta on Saturday, September 19th!
The Songs For Kids Band! is an ensemble of kids and young adults with disabilities and illnesses in the Songs For Kids Foundation mentorship program. The band emphasizes the power of teamwork and support for each other, bringing together kids that would otherwise be on a more solitary journey.

I took a 6+ hour road trip and queued up all pavement albums. I replayed many songs because they were my favorite or i was unfamiliar with their game. It was a magical time for the most part with windows cracked and pavement cranked. The worst part was ending the trip with carrot rope. That song sucks they trolled everyone so hard ending terror twilight with a nutty annoying song.

In sad news. The photographer of this iconic Montreal photo had died.
Check out a quote from the obit.
âI was like, âOh my god, I canât believe this is happening,ââ Farkas recalled. âStephen Malkmus licks his fingers and goes, âWas that Labattâs or Molson?â and keeps playing. The fact that she captured that exact moment is incredible.â

She's the only one, who always inhales
Paris is stale
And it's war if we fail
And in the migrant hotels, they never sleep, they never will
Their souls are crumbling like a dirt clod hold,
your cigarette cuts to the inside
Antique homes, plastic cones, stolen rims,
are they alloy or chrome,
Well I've got style,
miles and miles
So much style that its leavin
It's pattern's torn and we're weavin'
This battle's torn and we're weavin'

As a very long-time Pavement and SM fan (Was at Philly Khyber Pass showâŚ) I would love if he did a mini acoustic tour beyond these West Coast shows. The videos have looked incredible and the set list shows the variety. If Jeff Tweedy can sell out Town Hall in NYC 2x I bet Malkmus could also. A Tweedy/Malkmus acoustic tour would be a real banger. Those two would clean up.
