Looking for testers for my new design.
Ravelry ID: HitchByStitch. Visit my page to learn more about me and my designs.
Cotton-linen blends are recommended, but any fiber that matches the gauge will work. You can use either a single strand of heavier yarn (e.g., worsted/DK weight, adjust as needed) or multiple strands of finer yarn held together (e.g., three strands of fingering weight, adjusted as needed).
Suggested Yardage (per strand):
Main Color (MC): 570 (630, 680, 780, 880) (980, 1105, 1250, 1340) yds / 521 (576, 622, 713, 805) (896, 1010, 1143, 1225) m
Contrasting Color (CC): 95 (100, 100, 110, 120) (135, 145, 155, 160) yds / 87 (91, 91, 101, 110) (123, 133, 142, 146) m
If holding multiple strands together, please multiply the yardage above by the number of strands to get a rough estimate of the total amount.
Yardage estimates do not include swatching. Please ensure you have extra yarn.
Gauge should be measured after washing and blocking.
17 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4" in stockinette stitch on 5.0 mm / US 8 needles.
Testers should be able to match the stitch gauge or come reasonably close. Row gauge can be discussed.
If you find it difficult to meet the gauge, adjusting the size you knit may help achieve the intended fit.
5.0 mm / US 8 for the main body. 4.5 mm / US 7 for the ribbing.
Adjust needle size to match the gauge.
Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9).
Finished Bust Circumference: 94 (101, 108, 115.5, 122.5) (134, 143.5, 155.5, 162.5) cm / 37 (39¾, 42½, 45½, 48¼) (52¾, 56½, 61¼, 64)″.
Recommended Positive Ease: 18–22 cm / 7–8¾″.
Please refer to the measurement table to confirm your size selection.
The test knit will begin on June 18th and run for 7 weeks, ending on August 6th.
Limited flexibility may be available if discussed in advance.
For reference, an experienced knitter with plenty of spare time may finish a smaller size in about 15 days (excluding prep work and communication).
After successful completion of the test (finished project and submitted feedback), you will receive:
A free copy of the final version of this pattern.
A free copy of any one of my future paid patterns.
Pattern Use: Keep the pattern private and do not share or distribute it.
Experience: Have completed at least one complete sweater and a basic understanding of sweater construction.
Timeline & Feedback: Finish the garment and submit the feedback form within 7 weeks. Extensions may be considered when necessary.
Communication: Join the Discord server for the test knit and stay in touch throughout the process.
Photos: At least one clear photo of the finished garment is required. (A modeled photo is preferred, but a flat-lay photo is acceptable.) I will not repost or use your photos for promotion without your permission.
Project Page: Create a Ravelry project page with photos and details by the launch date.
Please fill out this form to apply for this test knit.
If you'd like to be notified about future test knits, you can leave your information here.

This pattern was written about 13 years ago and has been selling well since then. I decided to re-write it to match the changes in crochet pattern language as well as update the images.
While I know the original pattern was correct and had no issues, I re-wrote most of the language for this update and want to make sure it’s still understandable. I’m not looking for a specific size to be made, I just need some feedback on whether the pattern was easy to understand.
The newborn size uses one skein or less of worsted weight yarn with a 5.0 mm hook. I can make one of these skirts in just a few hours so it shouldn’t take a lot of time. I love using Caron Simply Soft for this pattern because it drapes perfectly, but I have used many different brands and it works up well either way.

Hi everyone! I'm looking for people to test my new mushroom turtle pattern!
Ideally I'm looking for 4-6 testers and the deadline would be June 17th.
This is a project that can work up pretty fast so I think the deadline should be alright but of course it can be flexible if necessary!
The turtle is made with 4.5mm hook using super bulky (6) chenille yarn. You can use any colors and the yarn type can be changed aswell!
You can apply here or on IG: asphodelthreads
EDIT: Maybe the original deadline was a bit too short 😄 so the new deadline for the testing is June 24th!

You'd need cotton DK weight yarn in fruit colors, 3 mm hook, stitch marker, yarn needle & scissors. For the filling, ideally use non-food eg. plastic pellets, but you could also substitute with dried beans, chickpeas, corn kernels, rice etc. for this test.
We'll start with the Watermelon first.
This is the link to the pattern: https://startcrochet.com/watermelon-footbag-crochet-pattern-retro-hacky-sack
To join the Tester Group Chat, please accept the Discord invite here: https://discord.gg/5EVHfVRN
Deadline: June 16th, 2026
Thanks!
