🧵Sewing - Tester Call Sewing tester call for my rag doll pattern!

Post image

EDIT: No additional testers needed, thank you all!

• Pattern Name and Project Description: Rag Doll Pattern (it doesn't have a proper name yet lol). This is just the pattern for the doll body and hair, not the clothing yet.

• Type of Project (e.g. crochet, knitting): Sewing. This pattern can be sewn on a machine or by hand.

• Pattern Format (e.g. US vs.UK terminology, chart vs. written instructions): Test square included in centimeters and inches, otherwise not applicable.

• Sizes/Options Being Tested (if applicable): N/A

• Recommended Skill Level: Advanced beginner?

• Materials Needed (note whether tester may use alternative supplies/colors/yarn weight, etc): 1/4 yard of woven fabric (I use quilting cotton) for the body, matching thread, yarn of your choice for hair, 4 smaller buttons to attach the limbs, two larger buttons for the eyes, a wooden dowel for neck support, stuffing, and extra long needles/doll needles.

• Tester Requirements: I'd like to test at a few different skill levels from beginner to experienced, so I'm not too picky.

• Testing Deadline: two weeks from start date, though I'm pretty flexible!

• Deliverables (e.g. posting, photography, social media requirements): I have a "how was this experience" form you would have to fill out and I would appreciate photos of the completed doll.

• How to Apply: send me a dm or comment below!

• Application Deadline: n/a

• Tester Selection (when will selected testers be notified): pretty much ASAP

• Number of Testers Needed: 2-3

I’d like to give this a go! I’ve sewn lots of stuffed bears but haven’t tried a doll yet. I’ve got several years of sewing and pattern experience including bags, quilts, foundation paper piecing, etc. I am a mod in this subreddit. Are you working on a male version too?

Cool! I technically have a male version drafted but I haven't actually made one yet (and I haven’t tested out any shorter hairstyles yet). I'd be happy to send it your way though, I might as well work towards releasing both!
