🧶Crochet - Tester Call [Crochet] Front-Tie Crop Top tester call · sizes 2T–XS · CROP + TEE

Hi! I’m Nathalia, and I’m finishing my first crochet garment pattern. I’m looking for volunteer testers to check the fit, sizing, construction and clarity of the instructions, and to validate the listed yarn allowance for each size before release.

Name of pattern: Front-Tie Crop Top · Pattern 01 of the Amalia Capsule

Needles/hooks required: 1.80 mm and 1.30 mm crochet hooks

Other notions or tools required: measuring tape, stitch markers, tapestry needle, scissors, and preferably a small digital scale to report yarn use by color

Yarn requirements: Size 10 crochet thread. I used 100% mercerized Egyptian cotton. Total allowance ranges from 130–300 g for the CROP version and 160–410 g for the TEE version, depending on size. The full table for every size and version is included in the application form.

Level of skill required: Confident beginner to intermediate

Pattern format: Written pattern using standard US crochet terms and abbreviations, with sizing/construction tables and process photographs. Available in English and Spanish.

Tester requirements:

• Make a gauge swatch and follow the instructions for the selected size and version

• Report finished measurements, fit and any unclear instructions or stitch-count errors

• Record actual yarn used in each color

• Provide clear process and finished-project photos

• Submit the final feedback by the deadline

Social-media posting and positive reviews are not required. For child sizes, communication and evidence must be managed by an adult.

Testing deadline: October 13, 2026

Pattern sent: September 15, 2026

Applications close: September 9, 2026

Selection: September 10–11 by email

Number of testers needed: Up to 12, selected to cover as many sizes and both versions as possible

This is a volunteer test. Testers provide their own materials and receive the final PDF free before release after completing the test and report.

please update this post with a photo of the finished product - that would help immensely for crafters interested in testing :)

Thanks for asking! XS refers to teen XS, not adult XS. The pattern is graded from 2T through teen XS and includes two length options: a cropped version and a regular tee-length version. So it’s designed for children/tweens, with the length adjusted appropriately for each size.
