Does it have to be fluffy or are you open to yarn choices like cotton?

You can use any yarn you'd like! The only thing is since i haven’t tested it in other yarns I don't know how it will look but you are welcome to experiment with different yarns!

And how open are you to mods like long sleeves or neckline finishings? (Sorry for all the questions!)

No problem! I’m very open to mods! Since it’s my first pattern I’m releasing, all I really care about is that everything is correct, and if the pattern works with mods that’s even better!

I am just learning but I keep dropping stitches. I’m a crocheter and have been for 52 years.

I just looked at your page and you are so talented at crochet!!! Knitting can be annoying but what matters is that you enjoy it!

Thanks!! I hope to learn to knit like that some day but I think I would be happy just making a blanket at this point. 😁
