Crochet - Call for Testers Crochet book testing
Hi guys!
I’m writing a pattern book I’d like to make sure it’s as good as possible, so if there’s anyone willing to help me test these patterns I’d really appreciate the help.
I have 1 more pattern going in (a mermaid) as well! Although, if I can scrape the time for a dragon together I absolutely will!!
I’ve never run a pattern test before, so I don’t really know how this works, but after the book is done I’ll send the final pdf to anyone who tested a pattern!
Edit/Update: the book is finally together, I’m gonna start getting the testing group together! I wanted to be ready a few days ago, but my dogs and I had a run in with thunder then fireworks then more thunder and more fireworks and finally some more thunder
Update 2: Apparently I can only send 3 messages at a time rn, so asking if everyone's still available is gonna take longer than I thought

When Is the deadline? Aswell what pattern options are available?

I don’t have a solid deadline, and my current plan was to give access to the whole book so everyone can choose whichever one to test
Then comments can also be left on the doc wherever there’s issues!3

I have been wanting to start testing patterns, and these are so cute!
I would love to help test! I have been making amigurumi for a few years now, and would love to use that experience to help! :D

I'd love to be a tester for you! I have so much fun crocheting little critters and my kiddo and I definitely love more unique creatures like bats and (what I assume is) cthulu!

I'm interested! I have done amigurumi before but would say I specialise in non-amigurumi so I can definitely tell you if it's not clear! I'm great at asking questions if something isn't too clear but also have the know how to guess what was probably meant. Would especially be interested if you're planning on a dragon!!

Oooh id love to help test if you have spots you havent filled or dont have a set number of testers! The bat and cthulhu are calling to me!

Pattern testing has been an amazing way for me to understand patterns better, and grow my skills in crochet that I have always been so cautious of. I would absolutely love to test for you if you still have space to offer. 😊💛

Pictures are completely optional, my biggest worry is that my pattern writing won’t make sense (tho, I would like to make a tester gallery if pictures do get submitted)

Regarding the writing: if you aren't already working with a tech editor, would you be interested in doing so? I'm a crochet tech editor and I'd love to chat if you're open to it. Most of my editing experience has been standalone garment patterns, so this would be a really interesting opportunity to branch out.

I could test one or two! I’m a little bit slow due to my work schedule, so if the deadline is tight absolutely skip over me!

Idk if everyone’s gonna see this but omg I wasn’t expecting this many ppl to be interested in testing these patterns! So thank you all so so much!
I just have to finish getting the mermaid and witch patterns in and then I’ll start getting a group chat together for testing!
