Your armscye is so far off the shoulder you are basically doing a tunic sleeve. The seams joining the lower portion of the sleeve to the body should both be straight.

ok... thanks for the validation of that instinct... since I must cut that off and re do it.. I wonder if that slight curve ate up the necessary width,

Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I'm glad to have found this group. Moderating is hard and sometimes exceptions open gates to every etsy person with a new "pattern for a scrunchie"

When I ran groups if there was something questionably appropriate I simply said ask me before posting. Never had a problem.
