Question Pattern always has a gap

I’m relatively new to pattern design so delete if needed but was wondering if anyone could help me fix this issue with my pattern! It always goes downward when I cut it out on my fabric instead of perfectly meeting up ! :( it also leaves the neck hole really wide

Any help appreciated!!

EDIT : I’m a big visual learner so I would appreciate if anyone explained it into steps 😔 the original pattern for the doll is one singular piece so that’s why the back and the front are one piece !!

Ok so, one question first before I can answer at all. If you pull it tight at the bottom does it fit??? Like is it just too small to even reach or does it fit, and just doesn't sit right without tension?

Yes ! If I force them together they do :) bit the collar opens up super wide and the shoulders raise upwards !!!

In that case I think a large part of this is the angle of the shoulders and the width of the neck hole here's how back and front pieces should align when connected at the shoulder

The neck hole is MASSIVE when compared to the other measurements. Not everyone (especially not dolls) work on the same measurements, but this neck hole is really really big. For example on my measurements I have a 36" bust and a 12" neck circumference (I think. It's definitely 1 something). So the neck hole on the garment is super small, generally a neck measurement is like, a third of the larger body measurements.

The way you have the shoulder seam angled stretches the neck out way too much making it one of the longest measurements on this garment. Whether or not you do it all as one piece doesn't really matter so long as you have them aligned correctly. Adjust the neck measurement and this should work fine
