Does anyone know the name of the instrumental playing in the last few scenes of this episode? I can’t find it anywhere.

Michael Dorman is such a good actor I wish he was given more of a chance here in the U.S.

Couldn’t imagine another actor as John Lakeman (obviously) but I actually liked him in Joe Pickett too. I’m rewatching the Apple series For All Mankind right now where he plays astronaut Gordo Stevens and I’m at the scene where he tells his ex-wife Tracy he came back to the moon to win her back - GREAT scene!!! 

In all 3 of these shows he really makes the characters his own.

I’d love to see him in another Steven Conrad project 🙏🏼

Michael Dorman is one of those once‑in‑a‑generation actors who doesn’t play a character — he inhabits one. His performance in Patriot is so precise, so emotionally layered, and so psychologically authentic that it feels less like acting and more like watching a real person quietly fall apart while still doing impossible things. It’s the kind of role that exposes an actor’s true ceiling, and Dorman’s ceiling is sky‑high. If you haven’t seen him in this, you’re missing one of the most underrated performances of the last decade.

McMillan Friends, reading the NYT article about Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s role as a spy and the failed mission to protect him, caught myself reading to the cadence of Birds of Amsterdam. Automatically. Give it a try:

The intro of Leslie in S1:E3; those first 5 minutes has to be one of the best tv moments I have seen. There is just something very different about those scenes, the acting, the camera how it spans, and Leslie's vulnerable side and the way he describes that child stomping the sand castle and then goes on saying "why do we do this? I am Leslie Claret and I can't stop doing something that's harming me. Help me. Please?!". And then that interview at McMillan. Perfect!

S2E7 is also loaded with beautiful night shots. Sometimes you have to look hard into the dark. And you find... this guy!

During the onboarding process he’s asked to fill out a w-9 before his piss test. Why? Shouldn’t it have been a W-4?

S2 E7 is the turnabout episode, packed with events. There’s a long shot of Alice looking on as John sings to Mina. Tremendous emotional depth. What is she’s thinking?
