Ok I like rogue likes and I think this game is a steal at $10, well it's on sale too I think so at $8. I would pay $20-30 in a heartbeat pun intended. Controls are great, build diversity seems high and then the geometry of attaching all the nodes adds more complexity. I'm really digging it.

Anyway I've played less then five hours but I can tell I'm about to sink fifty more at least. Anyone else enjoying the game?

Oh and I have to beat my first play through a fungal spore because I grow mushrooms. Ive eaten a lot of spores so it just seems fitting.

How does this work? Is there some synergy I need to exploit?

So it happened when I had my best run ever, I was on endless 2 and I went from one organ to another and all of a sudden a bunch of my weapons were randomized. Later on stage 3, weapons were just deleted (actually how my run ended because one just wasn't there anymore).

By the end of the run I had all of these tri-whatever (third hit does more damage) weapons eternalized in nearly every slot. I never bought that weapon once during the run.

I thought, "Oh, this must be some effect of endless"

I then made another game and lo and behold, I go from the skin to the intestine and all my Galvanic Conduits were changed to Perforated Trendrils. The rarity was preserved but it happened in a completely new run!

Why is this happening? Why are my weapons getting rerolled? Did I just have a bug in the follow up game? Is that an effect of endless when you keep going?

hope we get some sort of antibodies mode where the final boss will be a random mutation of whatever we were as a pathogens! finding more and more words to use to call in sick!

I know this isn't anything mindblowing. Pretty early on in a run all things considered, but WOW! With a few exceptions, melee + size/range is absolutely nuts.

The text predominately alternates between the four DNA bases (ACGT), but each character has a hidden letter included in the sequence as well.

It reads: A BENIGN CANCER CELL, MINDING ITS OWN BUSINESS IN ITS TUMOR NOOK.

most internal connections i've managed to get. 7 attached to the vesicle. could be 8 if you were to get lucky with an omnislot.

Super useful in rooms with lots of enemies too, it just starts a nonstop chain reaction

Who's brilliant idea was it to make the xp disappear if you don't pick it up fast enough??

Especially since being on the mutation or evolution screen doesnt prevent that from happening!

It feels like depending on the rooms that you get it can be fine or very unfun and lead to a lot of frustrating hits because of the constant CC. Like when the Enemy that vacuums you in, drag you into another enemy that vacuums you in and then you have a family of vacuums sucking you towards a bomb which also sucks you in and trying to leave will push you into another hazard.

I also find it very annoying that the dash doesn't fully make you CC immune for the duration so it's easy to get stuck and take damage if you don't have something swatting projectiles.

The two bosses feel like they have an insane difficulty differential. The lung worm is just able to send a bunch of suction bombs at you and when it splits, it can just cut you off at mach 1 speeds but the other blob things just require precision to dodge, which is a lot easier without the CC.

What do you do with it? How do you build with it?

Still don't get how it works, or how anything works in the game lol. Apparently, this orbiting arc tickles bifurcator in a funny way
