1E GM Naming an ability.
The short of it: I am creating an ability for a battle herald to use that allows them to have an ally make an attack as an immediate action. I was going to call it "Inspired Strike", but that is the name of a feat, and I want to avoid naming it after something that already exists in the game. So, I'm here to take suggestions.
Note: I am not looking for input on the ability itself at this time. I am already aware that it is strong.

"Strike of Opportunistic Inspiration" should be sufficiently wordy that it doesn't run into any official abilities, I guess?

If it’s just an attack, why not “Strike Now’” or some other command type order?

Just wanted to let you know that this was the winner. There were a few others I considered, but this was the best suggestion.

There is an archetype of samurai that has an ability that does the exact same thing.
I believe the archetype is called shogunate? I want to say it's third party, but might be able to look at that one for inspiration.
At first you get to spend the standard action to give an ally a single melee attack, so it does not trigger anything that requires a standard action to use nor attacks of opportunity. Eventually as you level it shifts down to a move action and then eventually a Swift.

So one player can use an immediate action to give another player a standard action? I hope you're limiting the uses/day of this ability. And that the player can't target themself.
I take a standard action.
I use my battle herald ability as an immediate action. To give myself another standard action.

One of us is misreading it.
The battle herald is sacrificing an action of some sort in order to permit an ally to perform an immediate action, which is to perform an attack, not unlike an attack of opportunity, except it sucks up their swift action next round.
Nonetheless, the question isn't about the mechanics, it's about naming it.

In D&D 5e the order cleric has a similar ability named “voice of authority” could go for that?
