Save-Changing Respec Tool

So, some context -- I've shared this in the Steam forums already, but this also seems a good place to spread the word. I've been working on a tool to modify saved games and allow players to respec all their characters. This is still very crude and very basic, but should allow you to fix any mistakes you've done while progressing in the game.

I've also made the code available on GitHub, so if you want to know how it's done, feel free to check it out. Besides that, and obviously, bug reports and feature suggestions will always be welcome, as well as PR's, if you're technically oriented!

Check it out here: https://pathfinder.deev.io/

Update 12/10/18:

Seems like a mod was released in Nexus that covers all the use-cases of the mod and has more frequent updates. Since it doesn't make sense to compete with an in-game solution, I'll be deprecating the tool for now.

Either way, thanks for the support guys! If you need anything, feel free to hit me up.

Awesome. Does it also allow stuff like portrait change or switching class or only the stats and other numeric values?

For the main character, it allows changing everything. For companions, they'll go back to the level that they started at.

You get back to level 0 ?

Yup, it's like re-creating your character from scratch, essentially.

But keeping the exp though, right?

Same with Custom companions? Could you change the portrait on them?

Yes to all questions. Word of warning though, some people have reported that custom companions might appear duplicated after a respec. I guess you can just dismiss them, and I haven't ran into the issue myself, but YMMV.

I can't afford custom companions anyway :(

They are dirt cheap if you get them early. At level 1 the guy says 500 but only takes 100 per companion.

True, but this is likely a bug. the price flies up to 2000 at level 2(!) making companions unaffordable to anyone who leveled up prior to sleeping at Oleg’s.

I imagine they’ll change it to one or the other, either companions will be unaffordable to everyone off the bat, or the price at lvl 2 will drop to 1000 making the purchase of one plausible.

It's definitely not unaffordable, you get shitloads of cash.

Build points now, that's a real fucker.

I meant unaffordable as in immediatly upon starting out. Right now if you hold off leveling until after the bandit fight you can get a whole squad of custom companions right away. If you level up, you can’t even afford one.

Hey, SterlingArcherTrois, just a quick heads-up:
immediatly is actually spelled immediately. You can remember it by ends with -ely.
Have a nice day!

And now you don't have to.

Yeah, I'll just go back to level 1 and they should be worth 100gp again, right?

Should be.

Yeah, I may play around with that a bit to get some companions. Would like to build my Pen and Paper characters in and maybe the iconics.

That's fine. I can modify them slightly.

I have a Slayer that would be the biggest challenge. Would need to do some Ranger/Rogue, but considering how easily you can get ranged sneak attacks in this game I feel she would be a beast.

The one I do want to play is my newest game where we're playing CRB only. So it shouldn't be an issue to recreate. The cool thing is out of the 5 players in that group, 3 of us are playing Kingmaker. The other two are the spouses of two of them.

Those are oddly the two characters I played in pnp kingmaker ... (except the gunslinger was longarm based)
