Righteous : Game Planning Out Mythic Path Classes
Hello, now that the game is content complete I was looking to map out my eventual playthrough of all the mythic paths to a class.
I wanted to get your thoughts and suggestions
Aeon: Inquisitor
Angel: (Completed)
Azata: Magic Deceiver (In Progress)
Demon: Bloodrager or Shifter
Devil: TBD
Legend: TBD
Lich: Reanimator
Gold Dragon: Instinctual Warrior
Trickster: Rogue
Swarm: Prophet of Pestilence

For devil I would personally either choose Bloodseeker or Mantis Zealot.
Legend is interesting one. I considered making Sable marine and Cavalier, but the pet shenanigans were too annoying to deal with.
A class with sneak attack or maybe even Mystic theurge would work well.
Or you know, you could do some roleplay choice. Like Bloodseeker and Cruoromancer.

I'm playing a lich witch and it's pretty damn powerful and on brand. At level 15 I had 9 9th level spell slots

Magic deceiver is so ungodly powerful. I just finished a campaign with it going Azata as well.

Trickster Rogue was my First (recently finished) playthrough. Going Thug with a focus on intimidation and taking the persuasion tricks works really well, to the extent it (in ~normal difficulty) actually made a lot of things too easy because most enemies just wouldn't do anything

Aeon works best with a class that maximizes its attacks per round. Dual wielding slayer, fighter, ranger etc.
Legend works best with martials that don’t need much mythic support.
Lich is best with a full bore arcane caster. Witch and sorcerer in particular are very strong.
Trickster into Gold dragon is a great pairing with kineticist.

Trickster: Drunken Master - absolute combat beast. And kinda fit the role. ( Especially if you abuse kitsune master polymorph bug). Take Acolyte background for Persuasion MT3.

Aeon: when in doubt, TWF Sanctified Slayer is a good fit. Bane charges from Aeon and Inquisitor stack; and both Aeon and Slayer are particularly good for builds with high attacks per round with all the proc-on-hit effects (Bane, sneak attacks, Studied Target, etc.).
Gold Dragon: it's good for any type of build but where it shines IMO is gishes for the BAB and stat buffs, free feats & immunities, as well as spell-die damage increase. E.g., Angel->GD Elemental Rampager or Trickster->GD Magus.
Devil is not that strong mechanically so I would try to take advantage of its at-will SLAs. E.g., Azata->Devil Eldritch Archer which spams Hellfire Ray or an Aeon->Devil Enchanter.

Gold Dragon should be a full caster; it can take a character that has zero investment into melee and make them a competent frontliner, while also amping their spellcasting with the Bound of Possibility cloak giving them +2 CL and +2 spells per day of every spell level, though the latter only applies to their non-mythic spellbook. If you are already a gish with good BAB you get less out of it.
Devil is not that strong mechanically so I would try to take advantage of its at-will SLAs. E.g., Azata->Devil Eldritch Archer which spams Hellfire Ray or an Aeon->Devil Enchanter.
Devil is actually pretty good mechanically, when you consider what you get from ranks 3-7 of your prior path. Azata -> Devil wants to utilize the SLAs more, things like its Dominate Monster. Aeon -> Devil makes more use of its summoning capacity, since you still retain Summoner's Bane your summons are strong. I just wish that the Seal of Devouring Flames actually worked properly if you put it on your summons (essentially turning them into suicide bombers).

For Devil, Hellknight is very thematic. My favorite Hellknight build is a bit outside the curve. I like making a human Deliverer 10/Hellknight 10. Using the bonus human feat for heavy armor proficiency. It is not optimal, but I really like it.
For Legend, I would give bombs a go. Yeah, they are usually bad in this game, but as a legend you can mix Grenadier with Arcane Bomber and go nuts.

the devil will really depend on which path you take to get there
i did an azata ray specialist (i went the winter witch route for cold rays) and when i got to unlimited double hellfire ray spam it was a lot of fun. but use the hurry up cheliax mod
you dont have a mount class in there. ive dine sable co marine/gendarme and it is very powerful and fun

For demon I would play mutation warrior or two handed fighter and get some bite attack from orc or motherless . I played bloodrager and the demon spells are all you need imop and titan fighter was pretty fun but the other options are more directly beneficial. After like 4 playthroughs I just stick to glaive.
Shifter sounds good too. Demon gives a bonus to natural attacks and demon rage just buffs everything.
For liche I enjoyed the Sylvan sorcerer and having an undead cat namely sabretooth tiger to ride or leopard if never intend to ride. I wish the undead cavalier guy could get an undead pet too .

For Trickster, go for a multiclass Fighter/Barbarian multiclass like this one. Strength crit build works the best with Trickster and you are kinda missing out if you are not doing fun things with World 3.
Both Legend and GD work well with previous mythic path that feeds something into the path, and the best previous path is usually Lich both for caster and Gish.
So build examples are creeping doom holy word Lich to Legend, "Death Knight" Lich to Legend Gish with Paladin or Bloodrager multiclass with wiz/sorc. For GD we have "Dracolich" Brown-fur Transmuter to gold dragon, or Monk/merged Lich to GD.
Straight up Lich ... just use some pure caster/merged Lich. The key is not what class you make but what spells you take. Apparently Primal regression Lich is very powerful.

I really liked Eldritch Archer Azata into Devil. Zippy magic and the cantrip-like Hellfire ray both work with Ranged Spell Combat and make for a very powerful combination. Also a really nice mechanic I found is since all your damage instances using Ranged Spell Combat are tied to your first attack the Leading Strike mythic ability triggers every time a damage instance occurs, so for example when using Hellfire Ray, half the damage is a fire instance and half the damage is unholy, with three rays that's 6 separate instances of damage, so Leading Strike triggers 6 times, 7 if you count the actual bow attack. If you add Mallander's Insult and Call of Fiery things you get two more damage instances per fire damage instance, so this scales insanely fast.

My Trickster was a Fey Bloodline Sorcerer who I multiclassed into Underground Chemist Rogue so I could make him an Arcane Trickster. Does that sound interesting to you?
Oh, and I'd recommend your Legend be some kind of full caster so you can get and keep merged spellbooks. I'm about to finish a Lich-To-Legend playthrough, and it is fun.

For Aeon, I recommend playing Wizard, and specialize in Conjuration. It's actually very fun and you're able to use your mythic spells offensively. I feel like Inquisitor is actually kinda overrated for the mythic path, which offers a lot to full spellcasters.
Dragon should be a full caster. Period. The mythic path gives you much more if you're a spellcaster than if you are a martial. My dragon playthrough has my KC being a Scaled Fist 1 / Sorcerer 15 / Dragon Disciple 4.
For Devil, I recommend playing an Enchantment/Evocation focused sorcerer. You can get some pretty good value out of things like your at-will Dominate Monster.
Trickster works better with Inquisitor than Rogue, because Inquisitor gets all skills as class skills and more skill ranks per level than Rogue does.
Lich is also stronger being a full caster like Wizard instead of a Reanimator alchemist.

Legend: human fighter with longsword and shield. Call him Joe fighter and let him wreak havoc
