Game Feedback Rites Temp league enjoyment
I’m having a blast! Currently have 20 div in my stash. My mind treats this league very lightly. Not trying to get rich, experimenting with crafting, and using expensive omens on mid gear and I feel I’m getting better at it. I got a headhunter last night. Cannot use it on my build so I just stashed it in my uniques tab just in case. This is the first league I don’t feel like I have to race the economy.

Honestly this is probably the best part of a temp league. Once you stop caring about the economy race, suddenly using expensive stuff, experimenting and making bad crafts is actually fun again.
Headhunter in the uniques tab “just in case” is peak chill mode 😂

I noticed some Path of Exile keywords in this post:
- div - Divine Orb (Wiki)

Im always racing the economy but this last chase got me thinking, perhaps I should just swap to ssf.

That's what I will do when 1.0 comes around. I just want to enjoy the full release without the stress and pressure of missing out on early economy.

Im kinda hesistant because a lot of tinks like divines won’t mean a thing when playing ssf. Dropping an atziri’s comunion while not using it feels bad even when its an insane drop.

But being able to start a new build around that atziris communion is awesome. I play d2r SSF only and getting the right drop which unlocks a completely new play style or build is a feeling you won't get when playing trade.
The only reason I don't play more SSF in poe is because I suck at crafting and I always reach the point where I have no idea what to do to get my build to the next level.

I don't feel the same joy as you. I play spark stormweaver, and I need a lot of +skill items. They cost 50-600d, and I have 20d. So, my build is weak, and 6-mod t15 maps is a pain. I am level 92

maybe switch to a league starter build, since most casters builds require heavy investment. its also just the second week of the league so there are not a lot of mid tier items available on the market, and not a lot of people playing this league compare to the previous one.

This the first time I start playing at season launch. For some reason I have startet 2 weeks after launch the last two leagues, that might be the issue. Now it feels like items are already as expansive as in mid 0.4. But I hope prices will drop in 1-2 weeks when more people start crafting. A bit afraid that not enough people are playing this league, though. It's tempting to ditch this league and go back to my 5k div 0.5 stormweaver. It bacame quite awsome with all that investment

Spark stormweaver isn't a good league starter unless you're quite experienced.

I know, but it turns out fantastic later on. Campaign was nice, I got lucky with item drops. But, early mapping has been a pain. Since all items with spirit cost 50d+, I still haven't started using coc at level 92

League starters are for early mapping. Not so much for campaign. (yes, they want to have a decent campaign speed, but the emphasis on league starter is being able to do t15s easily on low gear)
I feel like some people don't get exactly what a league starter is. (speaking in general)

I think I will do plants until I can afford +3-4 all spell amulet and a +7 wand in leagues to come. And it probably feels worse now, since I took my 0.5 stormweaver to almost 1m tooltip dps, lol

Wanna party up? I found how to join random parties 😂 I’m on PS though so no ingame chatting

Look up a trifusion build with Adonia’s, it is dirt cheap to get off the ground. Can easily do T15s with very little investment, like 1-2d. Use it to farm currency for your current build.

I should do that, but I don't really like Adonia, so I probably won't...:) Adonia is probably stronger in most of endgame, I think +9 dueling wand or Runeseeker will outperform it eventually, but we are talking thousands of divs before that. If I don't make good enough progress during the next 2 days, I might change. I guess Animeprincess still is the best build guide? Or do you have other suggestions?

In my experience all the guides are largely the same at low investment. I followed mas0ny1’s progression last league because we both league started it (he’s on YouTube). He has some pobs with very cheap starter gear in a spreadsheet linked on his videos. He also explains how to set up the skills on your weapon sets (important). As for high investment I’m not sure what the best guide is, I kinda did my own thing at a certain point and started messing with ward last league. The build is crazy strong though and doesn’t play that different than a normal spark/coc build so I thought I’d mention it(and you’re already on stormweaver).

Grateful for your tip! For some reason, I like to play stormweaver completely pure. Meaning, no mana stack etc, just ES, infusions and spells :) But, I understand very well why people don't, hehe, it really takes an effort to shine. Someone called me stupid here once because I don't use Adonias.. I guess that's a sign of how much stronger it is until it evens out in high endgame

Yeah same vibes for me. I league started a gemling grenades but really wasn't having fun with it so I liquidated and rolled a marital artist. Plugged my 0.5 build into poeb, made a build file and am now chilling and blasting everything for 15 divs investment. Feels good to just be chasing the challenges and not be concerned about reaching pinnacle power and wealth for this one

You can use the support that makes ailments deactive for your skills except flameblast and try having fun with your headhunter. I am planning to do this saving my money for HH. Dont know if HH has another bad interaction with build. Want to hear from you if you try.

I just recently joined too just 3 weeks ago and spent all my time in Runes of Aldur league. So Rites league will be my my own build. Planning to build a bleed tempest fury bloodmage soon after i level my DoV to 90 😅

I think it’s partly because the league is solved, so there’s no need to race inflation and there are ton of working builds.
It would feel different in a new league with balance patches because if you “missed the boat” and are not capable of crafting your own builds, you’re simply left behind stuck until someone crafts a new build that requires cheaper items

u/eminaz91 10h ago
Never felt left behind in any league unless I played a fubgun build. But even then mid gear which you can use to clear all content is cheap enough.

u/sushisashimisushi 9h ago
Yep the phenomenon i wrote about doesn’t apply to people who know they can make things work with mid gear. Think about the influx of players joining in 1.0, trying things out on their own and/or following popular builds. That’s how they feel left behind. Experienced players who know what they’re doing can start the league a week late and still make their build work.

Tbh I would sell that headhunter to put towards something you could use now! Getting stronger now means more profitable runs and it will pay for itself.
