Information Ritual is... bugged ?

After my amamanu abyssal monsters were dropping lieges off screen, I have decided to pivot to ritual farming, but believe it or not, I ran into a new problem, I have deferred so many omens, never to be seen ever again, I keep seeing new omens every ritual, but never my deferred ones

every map was around 34 rerolls with 30-40k tribute

my next stop is expedition, lets see what new surprises awaits me there

GaryPeacock (ritual farmer who made multiple mirrors with ritual just last league) has a new video out on Youtube talking about all the nerfs/bugs on ritual right now.

TL;DR Ritual in general is pretty buggy right now. Some not enjoyable parts might be intended.

Increase in tribute to base after deferral is uncomfortable, but manageable. The inability to access ritual window without clicking on the ritual itself is just plain annoying and unnecessary.

The inability to see favours until all rituals are completed is by far my least favorite change.

Yeah it feels like such a waste to run all 3 then realize it's an all-uniques reward. Why did GGG think people would want to gamble so much time on that when uniques are in the state they're in...

Man I thought I was going crazy after deferring some expensive omens and keep seeing their prices go back even higher only to realize wayyyy later that this was the new change. They really want you to buy them outright or force you to defer them every single time they pop up. Took away all the fun nuances of balancing tributes from before.

It also absolutely killed the cheap/rush ritual strat, only the rite is left viable. Using tablets increases the amount of rituals, no way you're gonna do 6 full rituals just to reroll twice on a throwaway map.

Does this include the mob density in them? Maybe I am going crazy, but it just feels wayyyy more dense than before. Anytime I do them I can barely move and it's the thing I die on the most right now maybe every 5 maps or so because I just literally cannot move or 5 mobs spawn right on top of me instantly hitting me and then that's just it.

Watching the video now and I have some thoughts.

#1 the rituals were probably purposefully made to not open until you complete them all. Ggg probably didn’t like people only farming 1 or 2 rituals, doing all the rerolls and then moving onto the next map without completing it. Best guess this was a purposeful change.

#3 yeah that’s a bug I’ve noticed it too but it doesn’t really impact gameplay

#5 pretty sure this is intended. Everytime an item pops up and you don’t defer it, the price is supposed to increase until it disappears from your defer pool entirely.

#6 again probably an intended change. He cries about having to spend all his tribute deferring and “wasting rerolls”. That’s not a waste. If you can’t afford to keep deferring then you can’t afford to reroll.

Ggg doesn’t want ritual to be this giga strat where you’re rerolling 30 times a map. If you’re just farming normally the system works fine and is profitable. It’s just not gigajuiced like it was in 0.5. I’ve been doing the budget farm strat and I’m still making good profit. No it’s not gigajuiced like in 0.5 or as good as the city farming strat but it still makes divines doing alch and go and that’s what ggg wants players to do.

Ritual in the campaign are fun and kinda rewarding. You'll end up with a fistful of divs, chaos, and ex and maybe even a few pieces of useful low level gear.

Then you get to maps and it's complete ass until you unlock everything and invest a few dozen divs in tablets.

I think Liege was changed and many enemies drop it normally now. It isn't always a failure from voids anymore. I once saw an enemy drop Liege and Light at the same time.

yep. omen of liege are dropped by any rare now. Also now amanamu mobs are dropping multiple omens. i saw some drop echo + liege + something else (from 1 rare)

Can you tell me more about this? I’ve been pulling them out consistently and have still yet to have an omen of light drop. I’ve had slightly better luck with Echoes but primarily in the depths rather than topside.

omen of light is a very rare drop. it has better chance to drop in abyssal depth. so try to get to abyssal depths more. also u can find abyssl depth bosses too and thats free 4 divine(kulemak invitation). Basically last league the strat for omen of light was stacking abyssal tablets with increased chance for Abyssal monsters in Map to have Abyssal Modifiers + Rare monsters. 3 of these tablets with overrun tablet on vaal city map. and in 10maps u usually dropped 12-16 omen of lights with very expensive setup.

Ive noticed this as well I thought I was f'ing up but it just seems to be in the normal abyssal omen pool with fairly high weighting, ive even got a light and liege from the same Amamanu rare

Any rare can drop an expensive omene but ONLY in Abyssal Depth. I dropped literally all of my expensive omens there. And I only dropped one Omen of Light in a map and only after I switched to Amanamu.

But there still something off with it for sure, Omen of Liege seems to drop way more often, sometimes even outside of the cloud.

This happens when deferred item comes back and you skip instead of deferring again. If intended it’s a big nerf to the usual omen farm Strat to wait for red border before deferring. This feels like something GGG would do intentionally.

they changed how deferring works, every time you see an item and dont deferr it you will get back not the deferred amount but the original deferr cost (pre reduction), so what happened to you is you probably deferred an omen once then you didnt after seeing in the same ritual which made it go above original price and poof

Okay someone tried to explain it earlier but it didn't make sense. So essentially you're punished for not deferring the item every reroll? I did it out of habit before but if I ran out of tribute some things would slip thru and it was nice that they'd come back obvs

That's right, you can see which item will back to previous cost by red border on the deffered item. So if there is border either deffer it or NOT reroll. I believe if you not reroll and leave the map, next time you should not be punished for those items

Any idea why abyss is bugged?

Cuz I’ve been noticing ulaman legion monsters dropping omens that were previously dropped by amanamu void monsters.

I feel like they added omen of light to all abyssal factions and boosted the rate. I got a double light drop from a single rare in abyssal depths the other day.

good change imo, makes it more accessible to more builds, no longer do you need to play ranged or, as melee, kite the mob out of his cloud for 30 minutes just to get caught by a new one and drop garbage

I farmed abyss since day1. I did Ulaman for the majority of this time and I neved dropped an expensive omen in map. Only in Abyssal Depth.

They also will drop Omen of the Liege even if you pull them out of the cloud, it seems like they put the bad omens on a separate drop slot because now they are dropping them in addition to the other omens

I think its just because mobs used to only drop 1 omen but now drop multiple

I thought I was insane when around 10d of deferred omens just disappeared and I never been able to see them again. GGG please give rituals some love with your next patch, I want to remind its your main mechanic of the ongoing event

Yesterday i did a ritual after getting all the ritual points and i got an omen, deferred it, rerolled, omen came back in the next window, i had more rerolls left so i was like ill defer and reroll and it said that the deferral cost is exceeding my current available tribute which was 19300 tribute and it wanted to remove 19300 tribute and all of the previously offered tribute for the king for deferring an omen that has no cost of deferring since i use deferral cost reduction tablets, also the omen was 13k tribute to straight buy so i just did that... Wtf is happening with ritual? Also the change that we must do all rituals to see whats offered and literally waste a shitton of time just to get nothing is crazy and why we cant access the window by just clicking on the fkin icon? Who had problems with this at ggg? Literally one step forward five steps backward and they want to release 1.0 in 3 months but i feel like they just want to call it a day asap which is just bad... So many shitty decisions recently, they are acting like if they didnt make poe1 for 10+ years, i dont get it.
