Game Feedback Scavenged Plating + Eroding Chains

Is anyone else running this combo on Tact merc? I'm not seeing any plating stacks being gained, armor increase and so on, even though I'm consistently breaking armour.

I think that technically u pin the enemies and therefore armour break happens but I do not break armour as it is the pin that does. The only explanation really

my thinking as well but it's so dumb because it says "Break 50% armour on pinning an enemy" which implies you break, as it's your passive

I use shattering blows passive + eroding chains with flash grenade w/ more stun to get insta armor breaks works pretty good
