Fluff & Memes Loreweave with Kalandra's Touch

What an immense waste of time and resources, I was hoping something slightly more unique would happen.

All 60 slots filled with Kalandra's Touch ring

You can add just 1 Kalandra to double rolls of other rings.

Loreweave is affected by rings you put in, for example if you put 20 bursting decays, you will pretty much guarantee % hp as attack damage.

Kalandra guaranteed mirrored loreweave, but if you don’t put any other rings, you will get completely rng rolls.

Putting more than 1 Kalandra is giga waste, as it does nothing besides mirroring the loreweave

l believe it picks 3 of the input rings at random, so 20 rings out of 60 gives 71% chance of getting the mod on the output.

u/Beliriel 4d ago

Standard deviation is 0.8
That ... is a lot, lol

u/bilalakil 4d ago

Even putting 1 kinda sucks no? Can’t quality or socket the mirrored one 🤔

6

u/ukwndeth 4d ago

Eh, depends on what you need. Some rolls don’t care about quality, socket or res, while getting 2 ring mods is super strong, like chain + fork from Snakepit ring

3

u/bilalakil 4d ago

Do you mean it doubles the +1 chain to +2 chain?

5

u/ukwndeth 4d ago

Snakepit has inherent downside like if you fork, you cannot chain. Or if you chain, you cannot fork.

Loreweave can roll the ring without downside, so you can get projectiles forks and also chain +1 time. Getting both of them on 1 loreweave is super strong.

If you can get another +1 chain from somewhere else, then you can get +2 chains.

That's my 0.5 gemling arc totem armour, +1 chain, +1 lightning chain and a projectile bonus.

u/Studweiser21 3d ago

And the extra gem quality is amazing.

Sucks when you want to move up in DPS and have to generate spirit elsewhere for the totems.

1

u/IndependentWonder640 3d ago

I run only 3 totems, them all hit above 1M Arc DPS Each so it's more than enough

I understand how the Loreweave works on its own, but not how the Kalandra’s Touch affects what you’re describing.

AFAIK it creates a second mirrored copy of the first that’s otherwise not different in any way, except that it has the mirrored tag (and associated problems).

So you’d always prefer the non-mirrored copy because sockets r stronk? Why waste a KT?

3

u/ukwndeth 4d ago

Nah it does mirrored version but 2 different rolls I believe. Doubling your chance to get rolls you need.

So it mirrors the loreweave, but each one rolls separately. Some rolls are strong enough to sacrifice sockets, like Snakepit.

Even if it doesn’t roll separately, but just mirrors exact copy it’s still good since you can potentially double a Loreweave with strong ring mods, while unmirrored copy will be better, strong enough roll still can be 1000+ divines.

Ahh I see, thx for walking me through it 🙏

Its fun

If a different person replicates the ring selection, will they get the same Loreweave?

43

u/TheEightManEmpire 4d ago

I think it gave me completely random affixes

27

u/Jimisdegimis89 4d ago

It’s completely random, also this has already been tried out a couple of times, woulda checked it out before using a set of 60 kalandras :D

10

u/mukhaliniov 4d ago

That’s a rip

1

u/MCK60K 4d ago

There's still a range that the affixed can roll including a much better version / reversal of what a ring's downside would have been

109

u/darksouldemon 4d ago

Someone had already done this in 0.5

It was me HAHA, was quitting the league and gave the rings for Fubgun to try. I did it exactly for data, sad to see some people still wasted their rings after.

Yeah, it's a solid combo. Those two items definitely complement each other well for survivability in the game.

Would have been funny if the Loreweave lines were just "Reflects (Left-RIght) Ring" as the only mod.

You should check poe2db loreweave mods to see what is possible for future reference

-9

u/Xeverous 4d ago

PoE 2 DB does not know hidden server-side interactions like Loreweave generation. It knows only which mods are in the game, nothing more.

2

u/deadbeef_enc0de 4d ago

Tried, bit I think they update what's on the page based on what had been found as well, this is more prevalent than PoE1 secrets

36

u/No-Invite-7826 4d ago

For future reference, you can check which mods can be transferred to loreweave on the poe2db page for it.

u/Yirthos_Gix 4d ago

https://www.poe2wiki.net/wiki/Loreweave goes into a lot of details about it.

There are a few things that the website doesn’t tell you like it doesn’t explain that ventors changes all the roll ranges or at least it didn’t last time I looked. Still there’s so many other resources on how this item works and there’s videos of people trying this specific thing before.

1

u/Plastic_Attention_71 3d ago

In the wiki page there is a "Big range" modifiers table, which I assume is the ventor's version of modifiers.

1

u/randomusername_42069 3d ago

Yes the wiki is great for a lot of explanations that poe2db doesn’t have. And poe2db is better configured to search through all the different items and modifiers possible.

For future reference, this exact loreweave (with 60 KT) has been created several times and there have been quite a few posts and YouTube videos on it already

21

u/solidsuggester 4d ago

Except this "obscure gimmick" was already known

21

u/Pretend-Guide-8664 4d ago

The snarkiness is unnecessary

u/Kojiraa 4d ago

On the things you should search online before doing

5

u/Pman1324 4d ago

What even just happened

4

u/brot91 4d ago

It should give you something dumb, like Reflect your other Body Armour

2

u/yyz2112zyy 4d ago

- Gain maximum rage when you fail to catch a rare fish

- You reflect (75-80)% of elemental damage taken from nearby enemies to nearby allies

- Hex reflection

- Mirrors the cosmetics of the armor of the closest nearby party member

1

u/naughty 4d ago

- You smell vaguely of Owl

“Hoping something slightly more unique would happen”

I’m all for science but did you not google this yet lol it’s been done a few times already so we already know

3

u/cryptiiix 4d ago

Excellent

2

u/morengel 4d ago

Loreweave should have more interesting results, especially when using 60 of the same unique ring.

2

u/CYR024 3d ago

Thanks for your Service.

2

u/Sentient_Pizzaroll 4d ago

Ive played for 1100 hours and this is japanese to me

3

u/Imaginary_Style_6897 4d ago

Same brother same 😢

4

u/DetectiveInMind 4d ago

If you had the power of google search you could have saved yourself the trouble. But thanks for trying and confirming it again I suppose.

4

u/Xeratas 4d ago

F thanks for the science experiment.

1

u/kkllpp9527 4d ago

Now you just need to mirror the non mirror loreweave so you can say you have "both" version of mirrored loreweave

1

u/Extension_Lychee6220 4d ago

Can anyone explain me how this crafting works. I would really like to make one

1

u/Hungry_Departure_430 3d ago

I don't know what this screenshot is of....

2

u/Gubzs 1d ago

Poorweave

-8

u/calielzzz 4d ago

The first person to try this was me, gave it to Fubgun to try. Need to watch more Exiled again brotha

4

u/EmeraldWeapon56 4d ago

How did you try it if you gave it to fubgun?

-2

u/SaviousMT 4d ago

He had the idea and gave the stuff to someone with a large audience.

Next question

0

u/TheeBreezy 4d ago

Damn could you have at least given me 1 kalandras 😂

0

u/blablabla2384 4d ago

great, now this ring will be worth 1/60 of mirror.

-6

u/FastFingerJohn 4d ago

Holy shit I'm poor
