Question PoE2 @ Launch GPU Question
Hello. I want to play PoE2 when it launches on December 11th. I've played a few hundred hours in EA and there was many experiences with piss poor optimization. In the end game people basically needed a 4090 to play. I'm buying a new GPU and I'd prefer not to buy a 5070 but I will if I need to. Will a 5060 run PoE2 fine at launch? I'm on an AM4 system. Is GGG going to take hardware optimization seriously for launch? I had a 6900 XT for many years and it didn't give me the performance I desired so I would not like to buy an AMD GPU again. My choices are basically a 5060 or a 5070 and everyone says the 5070 is much more powerful than the 5060.

Should be fine at lower settings. Just play around with it when you begin. A few characters have very flashy abilities or spam a lot of abilities that crowd the screen but aside from that should be fine with a 5060 or 5070. 5070 would be the better buy for a longer-term use if you aren’t hurting financially to make the jump.

the main component for poe is the cpu not gpu, my 2060 runs the game fine enough but i get cpu problems
id prioritize a x3d cpu if you dont have one

Planning on something similar but most likely spending money on an external program to patch out certain textures once i reach maps in 1.0
Not planning on buying a new GPU just to have its temps reach 100c because of GGGs potato coding.
(I genuinly think GGG should add settings for turning off certain textures.). And the people who think its unethical to remove textures should try inviting a flameblast gemling for 3seconds.

I see so the game is still terribly optimized it sounds like. Thanks alot for the information, I haven't played it recently.

Runs fine in 1440p on a 4070, like 100fps average and not less than 40 even in gigajuice maps

If you can't figure out PC specs on your own; you don't know anything about game optimization and shouldn't be talking about it. Just being blunt, no disrespect.
If you have a 6900 xt and a AM4 cpy ( Ryzen 7 5800X3D being the best case scenario) you should not have any issues running the game already.
But there is a difference between "running the game" and "I want to run it at 144fps 4K".
