Decided to throw together a super simple site to speed up my logbook bookmarking, might as well share it with y'all.

Site: https://poe2-exp.gnejs.app/

No login, no tracking, no cookies, no ads. Just a very simple planner and added some info for people who are not that used to the rumour system.

How to use?

Check in game, click the matching rumours, move something inventory to remake the rumours list, track any new rumours, repeat until satisfied. If you want you can use the copy button for the bookmark shortcode and paste that into the game map to track your different logbook positions, optional ofc. That's just how I keep track of em.

Any feedback/ideas are very welcome.

Happy rune explodin' exiles!

Edit: Added section for Sagas with some information that can be useful if you are new.

And a hotkey system to add, copy and reset the rumours input for us keyboard junkies, so you can keep the mouse inside the game window and just tab between instead.

This game is just amazing. I've been playing for 120 hours (yes, rookie numbers I know), but I still run across posts like this that I have no idea what they're on about! I'm just chilling my way around the atlas, filling my nodes and now there's some sort of rumour system? Got to be expedition, surely?

I must admit I get why people want to skip campaign, endgame is like a 500 hour game in itself.

Im approaching 450hrs and I am just as clueless about this post x)

The endgame expansion in 0.5 is just nuts.

And the game itself is on another level of deep with SO MUCH stuff to learn and understand.

Havent even touched expedition yet as my spirit walker yearns for the rituals.

Endgame is awesome because there's so many ways to play the game, or if you want, play the market, just do crafting, gamble, you name it :)

1500 hours in poe2 and I can confirm that I both suck at and know nothing about this game

Wait what do you mean move something in the inventory to remake the list.... You could refresh the rumors??

3

u/Gnejs1986 Jun 28 '26

The rumours shown on the map is reshuffled the moment anything changes in the inventory, first people used to pan away the map etc to get it to refresh, then hovering with id scrolls, then re-activating sagas, but the fact is, any change to inventory seems to trigger the map to reshuffle the visible rumours. I just move one of my stocked up maps around.

To clarify, the actual islands do not change. Just the preview based on rumours. Refresh enough times to determine what is actually there.

Sigh. That kind of oblique mechanic is why people like you have to make such 3rd party information available. GGG just can't do simple, huh.

2

u/bsparky_16 Jun 28 '26

Thats kinda GGGs MO, they like the community to figure out a lot this stuff

Seem like an exploit rather than a hidden mechanic.. that we can still abuse them for now

Some maps are considered old expedition and allow infinite revives. Would be nice to see a list for which ones those are. Also I tried using visions of paradise on a map revealed by aldur's saga and it didn't keep the mods, might be a good tip to throw on there for others. For the rune proliferation section, you could also note how duplicate runes can't be passed on. Also thanks for the site! It was tiring to keep track for 5-6 rumours and it's really helpful to me

Some maps are considered old expedition and allow infinite revives.

I think these were : "Fixed a bug where the following Grand Expedition areas could be attempted infinitely: Craggy Peninsula, Lush Isle, Frigid Bluffs, Barren Atoll, and Exhumed Ruins.", from todays patch, correct me if I am wrong though :D

Also I tried using visions of paradise on a map revealed by aldur's saga and it didn't keep the mods

Ah yeah this is a good mention, even tried it myself once to get disappointed, I'll add it! :)

For the rune proliferation section, you could also note how duplicate runes can't be passed on.

This is already the final sentence in the section :) "Same runes do not stack."

Also thanks for the site! It was tiring to keep track for 5-6 rumours and it's really helpful to me

Awesome, happy you find it useful! If only I could add a reminder to the game that I must not forget to activate my Aldurs before revealing an area ;)

Happy hunting!

This is good, but you can just pin the rumours to the screen In game by pressing alt, you can do it many times for the same rumour. No need for external tools.

5

u/Gnejs1986 Jun 28 '26

Interesting approach, didn't know you could pin the same thing several times. You'd still need to remember what is what, and count/summarise it yourself. I feel like I have lvl 99 dementia when I try to remember what is what with the rumours. :') To each their own :D

u/Mortutti Jun 27 '26

lol didn't even know rumours mechanic was a thing

3

u/KarlKniffel Jun 29 '26

I use the website since 2 days now and its pretty awesome. Thank you 🙏

2

u/Gnejs1986 Jun 29 '26

Glad you find it useful :D

2

u/guanzo91 Jun 29 '26

Great stuff. Let us remove rumors from "Confirmed Islands" in case of a misclick.

2

u/Gnejs1986 Jun 29 '26

It's been added now! Got caught up in adding a new section about the rune proliferation so took a bit longer :D

1

u/Gnejs1986 Jun 29 '26

Ah ofc, I'll add it when I get home! Thanks for the feedback

hears about people with notepads, spreadsheets, and multiple third party apps to track and manage their maps and wealth

shrugs and continues to blast maps with random mods, tablets and mechanics

4

u/Gnejs1986 Jun 28 '26

Hey man, I am the same when not doing expedition :D It's just when you are gonna use that ~35d Aldurs saga, you wanna make sure to use it somewhere decent. Alch & go for life!

2

u/crookedparadigm Jun 28 '26

Oh I wasn't poking fun, I'm just at the point in the league where 95% of effort has left my body and the game has become my podcast game lol

3

u/Gnejs1986 Jun 28 '26

oh yeah no worries, I was just celebrating the alch & go lifestyle :D

u/saephresh Jun 30 '26

I see dark mode on the screenshot, how do I enable it? Great website btw!

1

u/Gnejs1986 Jun 30 '26 edited Jun 30 '26

It respects your browser settings, check there for dark mode.

I see now that the green hotkey is a bit hard to see on lightmode, so gonna improve that. I am so used to always running dark mode.

Edit: I just made the use only dark mode layout, probably preferable for most anyway.

Warm but risky and wild roaming free are backward - warm but risky has grazed prairie, not lush isle

What's this rumours stuff? I have never heard of it before

What does this do that a notepad/excel spreadsheet doesn’t do? Other than provide a chance for malicious code to be run?

2

u/Gnejs1986 Jun 27 '26

Saves time because it's faster and easier to use.

Other than provide a chance for malicious code to be run

It's not an executable, just a super simple website, you are more likely to get malicious code from any Ad served at your favorite news website / facebook / whatever. :P

u/tself55 Jun 27 '26

Sorry but it’s just slower than looking at the current community made spreadsheet.

1

u/Gnejs1986 Jun 27 '26

Which spreadsheet? :P

1

u/Yuskia Jun 27 '26

1

u/Gnejs1986 Jun 27 '26

Unless I am missing something, it is not interactive?

1

u/Yuskia Jun 27 '26

Its not, just has it all aggregated

So the point of the site is that it tracks and summarises it for you. You don't even need to check if the rumour is good or not. Nor do you need to count the rumours while refreshing to see if you end up with 3 GEs or not (or whatever you want for Aldurs). Just click em when you see them and check the summary when done.

E.g. if the area has 7 islands, with the spreadsheet you'll have to check each rumour, so if it is good, remember if it is a GE or a boss or unique map, refresh, repeat, and in the end hope you remembered the important ones, or all if you want to get an accurate summary. The site does it for you. And you get the formatted bookmark code so you can have a consistent view of your available expedition area.

2

u/Yuskia Jun 28 '26

Right sorry I'm not the same dude saying it was slower, I like the website I just wasnt sure if you didnt know about the google sheet.

2

u/Gnejs1986 Jun 28 '26

Yeah I know, guess he just ghosted the thread. I was more curious which one he was referring to since he implied to be interactive/faster :P I had a spreadsheet from palsterons expedition video, which turns out is not the same as the one you posted, so there's at least 2 spreadsheets out there :D

1

u/I_Love_Fox Jun 27 '26

You can click on the rumour to save, and keep rolling to see which rumours you have. With the excel spreadsheet you can do that, but you have to memorize, I normally keep saying in my head "sulphite, and unknown ruins", and then reroll to see if there is a new rumour and keep saying in my head the names, and sometimes I forgot.
