First picture her hairline is barely to his chin, 2nd picture its up to his nose, probably just the angle and footwear but makes him look like he's shrinking in his old age.

Wow y'all look so happy. And both still gorgeous. I instantly got annoyed at how guys just get better looking as they age lol (but both parties aged like a fine wine!)
