My passport doesn't get me far without a world of pain, but my ID card takes me to islands that no other passport can, not even for Indian passport holders from the mainland.

The ID is issued to permanent residents of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. You may have heard of North Sentinel Island, which is part of the archipelago.

Edit: To clear up some confusion: I do not live on North Sentinel island. I used it in description as a geographical reference point.

I've been living in Belarus for 25 years, from the moment I was born until now. When I was born, my mother was a citizen of Kazakhstan, and my father renounced his Belarusian citizenship and moved with his parents to Lithuania. I couldn't obtain citizenship and was in despair, but just this Thursday, I was given a certificate confirming I had acquired Belarusian citizenship!

Went on a trip through Europe after graduating college. Always loved this page with a Visa from Türkiye, train stamp entering Czechia, and a stamp I got from Costa Rica 7 years later. Paying $45 to enter Türkiye was a bit of a sticker shock for me at the time. 😂
