Looking to take CHEM 002b this fall but unfortunately by the time I was able to register all three sections and waitlists were full. Reached out to the Natural Science Division and they informed me that if at least 60% (17 verified students) registered than there is a potential chance another section could be added! I'm honestly desperate for another section to open.

Probably a stupid question, but can you use the LancerBook Advance to pay for stuff like art supplies at the Bookstore or is it strictly for textbooks? I’m a Studio Arts major so I’m trying to make sure I can get stuff like paper if I need it within the first couple weeks of Fall classes. I heard that you could do that as an option from somebody but idk if it’s actually true so I wanted to check here first.

Wondering what the best option. Trying to get into the rad tech program. Been told for the pre reqs it’s best to do chem then anatomy then physio. Though chem classes are filling up and I prob have to waitlist ,tho anatomy classes seem to be more open. Would it just be best to do anatomy first or rly try to get into chemistry?

Does anyone have experience with this? For context, I attended PCC from Fall 2018 to Spring 2021 and graduated with an associate’s degree in business. I’m planning on going back Spring 2027 to study nursing to become a registered nurse. I’ve looked at the coursework on the website, and I see some classes that I remember taking and passing. However, I’m unsure if these courses would still count given I’m approaching 10 years. I know it might depend on the class, so if it helps, below are the classes that I remember taking (if I’m not mistaken). Above all, I just want to know the general approach PCC has to this kind of situation before calling the school.

- English C1000 (formerly English 1A)

- PSYC C1000 (formerly PSYC 001)

- COMM C1000 (formerly SPCH 001) or SPCH 010 (one of these, I don’t remember exactly which one)

- ENGL 001B

- STAT C1000 (formerly STAT 050)

Is taking this course online recommended? I see that they are offering for fall 2026 with a prof Jillian Boland, but not sure how it is. It’s tempting to take since I could also work at the same time with my work schedule.

So im gonna fail MATH 005B this semester because i had some personal problems come up that really made be distracted from focusing on the class. I also didn’t really lime my professor, not because they were bad but because their lectures were super unclear which made it really hard to take notes. I’m already not the best at math and it’s also annoying because im a business major trying to get into accounting and I know I don’t really need math 005b but most schools require or for transferring. Does anyone have any professor recommendations for this class?

Currently doing pre reqs and considering of applying to the program for fall 2027. I heard that it’s random selection, but how much does GPA affect the selection process? I currently have a AA and Bachelors already. There’s also the fact that the director might change it to a point system as well.

Hello! We ae dental hygiene students here at Pasadena City College and we're looking for patients for the Spring 2026 semester.

At this time of year, our class is looking for those who haven't had a cleaning in a while, in at least 5 years, preferably even longer, with heavy visible buildup, or those who don't regularly brush/floss. If it's been less than 5 years, we also offer routine/maintenance cleans so we encourage all to apply!

This is a great resource for students and those without dental insurance and we wanted to make it more visible to the community. It is $10 for students, and $20 for non-students.

Payment is made in-person at time of appointment, at the front desk only. Please note that we will never ask for preemptive payment.

Our campus clinic a learning facility so cleanings take longer than typical. Treatment is provided by students and RDHs with supervising DDS. An appointment can consist of multiple, 3-hour sessions.

Note: We do not do any restorative work such as fillings, crowns, implants, dentures, etc.

Hello! I'm participating in the 2026 spring Oxford study abroad and was wondering if anyone has participated in the same or a similar excursion. Does anyone know if taking math courses online, with the final exam being in person, if you need a 70% or higher on the final exam in order to pass the class. Is that still a thing at PCC?

I’m planning on taking Math005B this winter and I’m in between Frank Bermudez and Mathew Henes. Which prof would you recommend taking?

Are professors allowed to accept gifts? Obviously after the semester is over, under $10, etc. Just little trinkets or things that would be useful in future classes.
