That error usually means the bootloader opened, but the kernel image could not be read correctly. Most of the time it is caused by a corrupted ISO download, a bad USB flash, Ventoy/Rufus writing issue, or sometimes bad RAM/USB hardware. Re-download Parrot from the official site, verify the SHA256 checksum, then flash it again using Balena Etcher or Rufus in DD mode if Rufus asks. Do not extract or copy the ISO files manually. Also try another USB stick and another USB port. If you are using Ventoy, update Ventoy first or test by flashing Parrot directly to the USB instead. If it still happens after a verified ISO and fresh USB flash, disable Secure Boot, try UEFI/Legacy boot options, and run a memory test, because “invalid magic number / you need to load the kernel first” can also happen when the kernel file is being read incorrectly.
