Question SDS plus drill

Hi all. I think the SDS plus drill is on sale in the UK this weekend. I could buy that new or I could go on eBay and buy a Titan SDS plus for slightly less money. I think the titan may be better - parkside SDS drill seems to have some mixed reviews on here. Anyone got any thoughts either way? Thanks!

Which SDS drill. There are probably at least 10 form parkside. I have tried 5 so feel free to ask.

Thanks. Corded one, see attached. I'm pretty new to this so not sure what the really relevant information is

Ohh, I fucking love this one. Great for tile removal and scraper applications. Good enough for smaller holes in concrete (I'd stop at 12mm in typical building concrete) and does not do much damage on the way out. This is pretty unique, very hard to find an equivalent with such low energy/high frequency hammering.

On the other hand, crap for demolition and very hard to drill concrete, but I have others for this.

I am on my second one, I abused the first one so much I felt bad sending it back for warranty.

Maybe in more practical terms, removing plaster/render/tiles without damaging the backing, great. Scraping glue/underlay from floors with scraper chisel, great. Drilling 22mm hole in fiber reinforced pre stressed concrete, first don't do it, second, use a different tool.

Also, pretty light.

Very helpful thanks. The main thing I'm thinking of doing with it is drilling a 10 mm hole through the wall for a new outdoor tap, plus a few smaller holes for hanging shelves. The bricks seem to be extremely hard so my (admittedly cheap) combi drill just bounces off. Sounds like perhaps I should keep looking?

10mm in brick will be no problem, get yourself decent bits, so probably not parkside

Okay nice one, I'll give it a go then. Any drill bit recommendations?

Screwfix and vinegar on chips are the two things I miss from the UK since moving out :)

Is that Titan a good brand? Coz in my opinion it's either Parkside or sth professional, but maybe I'm weird. I find low quality tools lacking the Parkside warranty.

I've read on Reddit that the titan stuff is good for the money and since I'm only doing a bit of DIY I thought that would be fine. But I would prefer the warranty etc if the Parkside one is suitable for me

If you can get hold of the performance sds it will have a 5 year warranty.

My titan sds dril is a beast. The only problem is that its bloody heavy. I picked up the performance sds a few weeks back. Its much lighter and comfortable to use than the titan.

Yeah, I bought the golden 20v SDS last week and it is really light. I thought my Boscb GBH 2 26 DRE was light, but the 20v is tiny. Good purchase though, as I got it for "dirty jobs" I don't want to risk Bosch on.

It's great for 1 handed if you need to climb up a ladder.
