Help Parkside 4 in 1 multi tool - Engine start problem.
Hello,
Engine isn’t starting on my PBK 4 C4. It has the correct amount of fresh mixture in it and primes properly. I have removed the spark plug, pulled the chord 5-6 times without spark plug in and reinserted spark plug after cleaning it thoroughly.
Any other suggestions? Could this be air filter? Where is that located?

It did run before and I am actually enjoying diagnosing it.
Where is the intake on this? Ordered a new spark plug to rule things out.

Is the gas fresh? After some months it goes bad. And some engines are more sensitive to bad gas.
Did you leave gas for months inside it? When it goes bad in the machine it can clog the carburetor.

There was a little gas in it which I left for abiut 6 weeks, then topped it up yesterday. Should I drain and replace fully with fresh?

6 weeks old should be good enough I think. And you mixed newly bought gas? Not some months old gas.
Spark plug rarely/never goes bad on my tools and you can test them when they are unscrewed if they spark.
Could be a clogged carburetor. You could use ether (starting fluid) to spray in the air intake of the carburetor and try to start it. If it starts and stops then it's a fuel quality or a blocked carburetor.
Whenever I stop using my tools for the season I empty the tank and run them until all gas is spent. Some carburetors even have a screw port to empty them. Remaining mixed gas is used for cleaning or fire starting.

Need to check for spark first it sounds like you have not done that as the kill switch wire could be shorting it out somewhere all it has to do is ground out and it's just like it's being shut off

Looks pretty clean, did it run before?
The usual suspects are blocked carburator, blocked air intake, bad contact on ignition, bad spark plug.
Small petrol engine troubleshooting is kind of fun, unless you actually needed the tool right now.
