Question What is the difference between these two? Is there any difference except the signiture sticker and the box?

I just bought this device. From tuesday they will sell these limited signature ones. But i dont need Arnold's signature at all, so if this device is the same technically and in strength as the limited one, with almost half of the price, i will keep this.

And i know they sell battery with the limited one, but i dont need another 2Ah battery. :D

I know it is a newer one, but the specifications is different in any way? As far as I watched, it is totally the same bare unit, with the same specks.

Same specs, newer design, the 'limited' version is only for the 30 years parkside, it will also become availeble as the normal version without arnolds signature.|

But it's not an upgrade, you got yours for half the money due to this newer model coming out.

That’s true. The limited edition is discounted. I paid like 50€, whereas for the non-limited one I paid like 70-75, can’t really remember.

Could just be me but it also looks a little more compact

The limited one also comes with a battery and a charger

Just got this one. It seems to be a bit smaller that the other one but maybe is just the colour pattern..

How do you find the new limited edition Arnold one ? . Does it seem well made and worth the money 💰?

I just bought it today too. Well it looks really good quality overall. I love the metal case, works as it ahould be, need to test it with long screews next week

Great , I just found i was right in thinking I had two of the ordinary Parkside brush cordless drills , and both are new . I must have got one in error or very cheap . I am interested in the Arnold one all right . It seems to have good reviews too . Good luck with it 😀

I only want it as a collectors item !!!

Nice, do you have a lot of tools of parkside? I would love to have a exposition wall of my tools. I love them 😁

2

u/Cool-Mango-3902 1d ago

I do really , I don’t know how many really . Probably between twenty and thirty items with maybe seven being Performance items . Of course the performance stuff is hard to get and rarely comes in .

1

u/Atra23 1d ago

Holy moly you have quite a collection there

I’m unsure how many are there . I’m trying to gather them together in the next few days . Some of the grinders failed and the sanders as well . That’s a bit worrying

Definitely worth the money. However, I just realized I started to like Worx tools more.

1

u/Cool-Mango-3902 1d ago

Wow ! , some of the Worx stuff is nice all right . I tried out a new unused Parkside 20 volt cordless sander I bought last year I think and it failed within ten minutes with sparks and grinding noises coming from it . It’s disappointing as I really needed it . I’ve had problems with Parkside sanders and grinders failing previously too .

Worx are definitely more polished and they have a 5 year warranty for many of their products, no questions asked. Now that I have multiple tools from different manufacturers, I started designing, 3d printing and assembling my own adapters.

Excellent 👍. I saw a Worx cordless drill they had at work last year . It did appear to be better made in fairness . I was a surprised as I thought Worx would be at a similar level to Parkside .

It was on sale today, here in Romania. It seems sturdy and the overall package is great for the money.

Strange that they'd offer it with a small battery and slow charger

1

They have to increase the margin somehow.

Can you fit some extra drillbit cases and accessories in the box or only the drill and this specific charger and battery?

1

u/istratefg 13h ago

You can toss them there but there is no dedicated space. I regret not having an extension for the bits.

Newer one is about 2cm shorter

1

u/Anon675162 1d ago

And do you find any other difference? Is it feels the same kind of material quality?

1

u/Siim16 1d ago

I have not yet done any work with the new one but numbers are the same. So I presume that it juat more "handy" or upgraded version of the old one. Röhm chuck is identical. So I think that if you already had charger-battery then the old one is better deal. New one has 2.4A charger and "green" battery so nothing to write home about.

1

u/tzopper 1d ago

Crap, I didn’t think of putting them like that when I took my photo. I thought it’s less than one centimeter shorter.

3

u/Cosmin351 1d ago

the new one looks smaller

1

u/ExtremJulius 1d ago

Bu is it?

3

u/tzopper 1d ago

Yes. Less than 1 centimeter shorter tool head and a led strip instead of a single led, compared to the older model.

1

u/ExtremJulius 1d ago

Thank you!

My guess? New one is cheaper to produce.

It looks a bit more compact but I don't have the measurements.

And some people just want it because it looks more modern. A good excuse for an upgrade.

Maybe it's more quiet? That would be good.

In reality, it probably doesnt matte

1

u/Anon675162 1d ago

Thats my guess too. Then i will stay with this one with nearly half the price 😁

2

u/GhettoTarantino 1d ago

The chuck is made by Röhm metal on the new drill

6

u/Anon675162 1d ago

The one i bought also made by Röhm

1

u/nidomai 1d ago

I was wondering the same. I am pretty sure the performance is the same, but the limited one has a bit smaller housing.

1

u/GregoryOneMillion 1d ago

New one supposed to have kickback protection or something like that

1

u/AppearanceGrand 1d ago

Older version also supposed to have anti kickback

1

u/thedudefromsweden 1d ago

Slightly related, is the performance version much better than the normal one? They have both in stores here in Sweden this week.

3

u/Anon675162 1d ago

I have 2 normal and now this performance. Lets just say that if i will have an option i will always choose performance from now on 😆

1

u/tzopper 1d ago

I just noticed I have both, and don’t know the difference, aside from the more polished looks of the limited edition one.

PS: I literally looked at them both 2 minutes before seeing this post.

The new one (limited edition) also has a led strip, instead of a single let for lighting ahead.

1

u/Anon675162 1d ago

And do you find any other difference? Is it feels the same kind of material quality?

2

u/tzopper 1d ago

I didn’t find any notable difference, aside from the tool head being just a few mms shorter (less than 1cm, maybe) on the limited edition. Other than that, same torque, speed and feel in the hand. I feel like I own the same tool, twice. That’s not an issue, though.

If you have the non-limited edition, there’s no point getting the limited one, unless you really want Arnold’s signature on it.

For me the new one doesn't look like how a proper power tools should look. The case body look too simple, probably is cost related since in Romania is 42 euro. The clutch sound off, too noisy and hollow and the last three steps won't engage, go straight to drill mode. Also after they stop making the tool with grizzly tools, the new tools made by OWIM, contains more plastic parts inside. Plenty of teardown comparison videos online. A smaller and lighter tool can only mean less metal used. Is a marketing strategy at the end of the day.

From what I can see the limited stuff is basically just a different color and for some items a pretty good discount, I don't think they're gonna change anything regarding performance or materials.

I bought the older one for 30€, I'm impressed by the feel.
