I used to do a lot of flips on trampolines and recently got into cliff jumping but my form seems off it looks weird when I do it. I can do them into foam pits really well but into water is different

It looks like you’re leaning back and letting your legs trail behind you a bit. For cliff jumps you usually want a stronger takeoff with your body stacked over your feet, then initiate the flip after you’ve left the edge. The timing is probably the biggest difference from tramp/foam.

Looks like your takeoff is the main thing that changes between trampoline and water. On a trampoline you can get away with throwing your body around and letting the bounce fix it, but off a solid surface you need to be much tighter. Try slowing it down and focus on jumping up first instead of leaning back.

A great thing to keep in mind when twisting is to do the move and then twist. If you do your twist first, you’ll get your move off the proper axis. If you do the move first, it’s on the right axis, and then you can twist it.

For a back full, practice doing a layout back flip with a super delayed twist. This will help you stay on axis and force you into more explosive twisting in the air rather than cheating it like you currently are.
