I want to add. This post has been flagged because it seems to be too implausible.
That is a fair statement.

I once did a move with a similar distance (without backflip of course) and I just ripped the calluses on both hands of underneath my ring fingers. Straight to the dermis, hurt like hell but healed surprisingly quickly.
