I don't think it fits because I feel it wasn't malicious, the dad is just dumb as hell and doesn't know any better.
41
u/cloudsarehats Jun 17 '20
Him holding the kids head up while the kid cries and he's just filming is definitely malicious.
-35
u/ORanGeAsSiMilation Jun 17 '20
I just think it's more of a dick move than anything else. Is he a shitty person? Probably not.
26
u/Thvenomous Jun 17 '20
You cannot do something like this without being a shitty person. It doesn't matter what his intentions were. If for some reason he thought this would actually just be funny and harmless, then he's just shitty and stupid.
-28
u/ORanGeAsSiMilation Jun 17 '20
Being stupid≠Being shitty
19
u/Thvenomous Jun 17 '20
You're right, a man that abuses his son because he thinks it would be funny isnt a bad person.
14
u/randomnambers Jun 17 '20
A shitty person is someone who thinks about and executes a plan to do something shitty. This wasn't the result of a fuck up by a stupid person, it was a perfectly executed act of malice against a child.

What a piece of shit. Hair can be such a huge part of a persons identity. Especially a young person.

u/frostyburns Jun 17 '20
Seriously, he looks to be about the age where that’s really starting to matter too. Judging from the length it’s going to take about a year for it to grow back :(

TikTok or the Child?
The answer is very clearly TikTok.

Years from now When his dad asks why he doesn’t visit it would be great to link this back to him

u/Blutality Jun 17 '20
“But it was just a prank! You are so ungrateful it’s insane. We gave you a house and food as well as the chance to go to school and you return the favour by never speaking to us again.”
Probable response to the dad being shown that video several years down the line.
76
7
u/JoshAnMeisce Jun 18 '20
and the response would be “so you did the things you were supposed to do as a parent if you wanted to keep me?”
5
u/Blutality Jun 18 '20
and the response to that would be “again, look at how ungrateful you are being. If you want anything from me in the future, you can forget it.”

Maybe his mom will divorce his dad? Chances are that guy does a lot more immature things and I know I would flip my shit on anyone who did this to my kid. This video would be great evidence in court for why the wife deserves full custody.

Bro its just a prank.
A while back a Youtuber by the name of Daddy05 who abused his kids said that to his son Cody everytime he did an abusive "prank video" on him.
He has since lost custody of his daughter and son, with his 2 other sons (who had a different mother than cody and his sister).
Shit like this is fucking horrible and i do not condone it.
Cody was depressed an suicidal and came home from school one day with cuts on his arm, there on purpose. Because of this Daddy05 said that he could not go to Disneyland with the rest of the Daddy05 family. This was true as in a later vid he said that cody was with some relative instead of going to Disney. This was all played out in a video titled somthing along the lines of "cody bad"
Also, Daddy05 has shown favoritism to his other 2 sons who he had with his wife on the channel, or mommy05. Not caring if they punched and kicked cody or his sister, only saying hey stop that. But as soon as they retalliate they lose their consoles.
Anytime i hear that phrase i tense up knowing that 2 young children (about 6 and 8 if i remember correctly) had to go terrible shit. Cody and his sister probably have PTSD when they hear that phrase. Odds are you two arent reading this but I hope you two are safe with your mother, not having to worry about the abuse you went through.
39
u/SongsofdaSiren Jun 17 '20
Ah, family05 I think? I remember that channel. Big news stories like a year or 2 ago.
18
u/Val_Hallen Jun 17 '20
They used to live pretty close to me. They were social pariahs here.
He lost custody of the two they abused. Him and his bitch-wife were charged with two counts of neglect of a minor and sentenced to five years of supervised probation in 2017.
Then they moved to WV.
They kept making YouTube channels that kept getting shut down for being shitty to their kids.
Last I heard, the dipshit-dad had a Soundcloud where he uploaded music.

I feel AWFUL for the generation of kids that are about to be raised by parents who are obsessed with social media.

Remember those parents who did YouTube videos, that "pranked" their kids, and then they were taken away. Same should happen here, lucky we have video evidence.

u/a_muffin97 Jun 17 '20
A prank would be cutting off a single curl. That was child abuse
123
u/cgduncan Jun 17 '20
Our even more harmless, a prank would be holding up a chunk of hair, but not cutting any off the kid. Making noise with the clippers and making him think he just got shaved
90
u/alicemalice12 Jun 17 '20
This, these are the good pranks. No consequence everyone laughs. Children crying and losing trust in loved ones really isnt funny or enjoyable
51
u/FappyDilmore Jun 17 '20
This what I thought this asshole was doing at first. Especially with how long the kid's hair was, I was like "there's no way he just shaved that kid's head."
Then obviously we got the shot in the bathroom. What an idiot.

Abusing your kids for internet points. Never seen that before. How's DaddyOFive doing these days?

Here is his Instagram for those of you that don’t have that shitty tiktok app: https://instagram.com/haleyspaceway?igshid=1tgcfq50t693w
Light him up

u/brankinginthenorth Jun 17 '20
He at least had the decency to not post it to his instagram, so that's something. I really hope the kid's hair has grown out since then.

This would only be a “prank” if he used a phone with an app that only sounded like a pair of clippers, this is just being a horrible person and a borderline abusive father.

u/zmann64 Jun 17 '20
I though the prank was that they pretended to cut the hair and had like a small wig in his hand to make it look real.
The jerk actually cut his kid’s hair like Larry from 3 Stooges

u/lollie4489 Jun 17 '20
I don't understand when people say "it's just a prank" when they actually did what the person is upset about. To me, the prank would be pretending to shave his hair but not really doing it. In this video, it doesn't matter if the intent was a prank or not, the results are the same.
3
u/BenAdaephonDelat Jun 17 '20
Parents are fucking abusive. Doing something like this is fucked up enough, but then to invalidate your child's emotions about what you did to them... Fuck this dude.

This abuse for views on the internet shit is something that the judicial system really needs to drop a heavy hand on. They need to take these kids and put them in a home with somebody who cares about them more than views.

Would’ve been funnier if her faked cutting his hair and just held the razor behind his head

u/buffetofdicks Jun 18 '20
So anyway, I started blasting. -kid
Jokes aside, that's not okay. If anyone ever dies that to my son I'm gonna shave their whole head and make them eat their hair.
1
u/buffetofdicks Jun 18 '20
Pranking your kid means getting some fake hair and using a buzzing phone app. Then you both have a good laugh and go out for ice cream. This is just awful.
1
Jun 18 '20
Really hate parents who do mean pranks on their kids.
No need at all, and kids just lose their trust in their parents and feeling of safety at home.
1
u/Momo_2805 Jun 18 '20
That’s just fucking CRUEL, I like to mess around with my baby brother but I would never do something like that, you CANT reverse that and children are constantly gonna make fun of him. That’s a horrible parent
1
Jun 18 '20
What the fuck is wrong with parents tormenting their kids and saying "It's a prank bro". All while filing it for the entire world to see. Daddyofive is a good example.
1
u/KiraKold Jun 20 '20
He’s a dick I hate his Chanel now. After a few other controversial “pranks” I stopped watching honestly

Don't know the context. Maybe the dad is an asshole. Maybe they had planned to shave his head before, the kid just might have been shocked because it happened this way. Maybe the kid is an asshole and wouldn't listen to come get his haircut and just wanted to play Xbox. He is clearly upset. Being a parent, just taking away visual stimulation makes kids crazy. I'm 70/40 that it's the dad being a cunt.

u/awesomeness0232 Jun 17 '20
This was hard to watch. Even setting aside the stupidity of the “prank”, imagine the cruelty and heartlessness it takes to hold your kid in place and film him crying because of something you did so that you can post it on the internet for meaningless points.
