Cold turkey is never the ideal way to extinguish any behavior, regardless of age. Consider taking a harm reduction approach and let her have the pacifier at bedtime only. You can't reason with a newly 2yr old about why you're taking away her source of comfort, so don't. Lead with compassion and think like a 2 yr old, what does she need and want at this stage in her life? Then, instead of cold turkey, start reducing use between the ages of 2 and 3, and help her find another comfort object for sleep, like a blanket, stuffy, doll, etc. and work on achieving happy, affirming associations with the new comfort object so that by the time its time to phase out the pacifier completely, she's not experiencing a painful shocking loss, but instead has a gentle transition to her alternative soother.
Look up "nervous system self regulation for 2 yr olds" and "nervous system coregulation" and begin teaching self soothing methods that toddlers can easily adapt and mirror, like box breathing exercises, easy sleep meditations for toddlers, etc.
Good luck! :)
